Facilitating Fibre installation for residential properties is the core business offering, however there is several additional new service lines ready to emerge. As Chief Operations Officer/Chief Finance Officer (COO/CFO), you will be partnering alongside the CEO and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and will be instrumental in the launching of new product lines, alongside ensuring the business is well prepared to deliver on future contracts.
As the COO/CFO you will have gravitas and status in the business, challenge other leaders when appropriate and manage expectations key investment stakeholders, and at times stand in for the CEO as they may travel frequently in order to develop and grow the business further.
What will the Chief Operating/Financial Officer (COO/CFO) role involve?
• To manage day to day the business and financial operations of the company, accountable to the MD.
• To take responsibility for process control and development across all company functions.
• Deploy an effective recruitment and talent retention strategy.
• Responsibility for Finance, including budgeting, reporting, invoicing and credit control.
• Devise, monitor and respond to appropriate internal management information whilst developing and enhancing performance metrics and partnering with all commercial elements of the business.
• Participate in and influence the company’s business plan, helping to align the interests of shareholders, clients and the team.
• Align all core activity towards achievement of the business plan.
• Ensure that supplier, client and service contracts are robust and protect the interests of the company and shareholders.
• Take responsibility for corporate governance, ensuring continued compliance with legal obligations, high standards of integrity and identification and management of conflicts of interest.
Suitable Candidate for the Chief Operating/Financial Officer (COO/CFO) vacancy:
• Strong operational and process control skills.
• Professional Accounting qualification is desirable ACA/CIMA/ACCA
• Good data analytical ability, comfortable to work with a high level of detail.
• Credibility, presence and diplomatic skills to engage an existing 15 strong team.
• Strength of character to challenge assumptions, ensuring that business strategy always balances the interests of all stakeholders.
• Developed commercial instincts and judgement to pick winning strategies.
• Innovative approach to problem solving.
• Great interpersonal communication, oral and written.
