CMA Executive is partnering with a high-growth, market-leading business in West Berkshire, specialising in the sale, rental, and servicing of vehicles and machinery for the industrial sector. This c£30m company, having recently secured Private Equity investment, is seeking a dynamic Finance Director to support its ambitious development and expansion goals.
In this role, reporting to the Managing Director, the Finance Director will be instrumental in driving financial decisions that enhance operational performance and efficiency. With plans for significant growth through both organic initiatives and mergers & acquisitions, this is a unique opportunity to join a vibrant, entrepreneurial company poised for success.
What will the Finance Director role involve?
• Provide sound and insightful financial analysis to support growth and create better understanding of business performance.
• Work on acquisitions and conduct financial due diligence on behalf of the business for future targets, including leading integration activities.
• Leading a small finance function, developing members of the team, and continuing to grow both capacity and develop efficiency, applying a hands-on approach.
• Manage capital for growth investment and ensure there is a cost benefit analysis conducted for any investment plans.
• Provide full strategic support for future lending and investment opportunities.
• Support the MD and Leadership Team in commercial decision making, working through regulatory matters and ensuring there is efficient processes to deliver strategic goals.
• Manage all relationships with external bodies including Investors, Auditors, Banks and advisory services.
• Drive continuous process improvement and the digitisation across budgeting, reporting, and analysis, ensuring a clear linkage of budget activities with strategic initiatives.
Suitable Candidate for the Finance Director vacancy:
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, technically strong, and highly commercial qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a background that would encompass experience in complex businesses with multiple revenue streams. Exposure to managing debt facilities, cash, working capital and capex requirements would be highly beneficial.
The role could suite an individual keen to step into their first Finance Director position, who is currently a No2 to a CFO, or an existing FD who retains a hands on approach.
