Job objectives and responsibilities

-To develop and implement a programme of activity to identify and build relationships with key stakeholders and potential customers, build pipeline and close sales, improving awareness of Mitie Fire & Security capabilities.

Main duties

-To maximise opportunities for new business and to lead the business development process and negotiations with the customer/ client in order to win profitable contracts.

-To source, lead and manage UK new business development opportunities for single service lines

-To support wider Mitie divisions as a single service “subject matter expert” providing commercial intelligence

-To build a visible pipeline

-To achieve agreed financial targets

Person Specification





· Proven experience of working successfully in a Fire & security environment

· Experience of managing and participating in project teams that work, adopting project management disciplines

· Proven experience of delivery strong consistent win rations against target

· Highly numerate with the ability to understand commercial negotiations

· A commercial thinker with the ability to understand and guide commercial negotiations

· In-depth experience of devising fire & security solutions for a variety of organisation types

· Good interpersonal skills, influence and impact, working with others

· Senior sales role in similar industry setting

· Proven experience of delivery strong consistent win rations against target

· A strong quality orientation and commitment to continuous improvement

· An influential and persuasive communicator, with a high standard of written and verbal communication skills

· A clear and strategic thinker, able to offer new and innovative solutions.

· Must be able to write compelling proposals, bid answers and supporting documentation

· Must be able to put together costings for projects using Excel

· Must be self sufficient and self motivated

Desirable

-A Degree or similar qualification would be an advantage however this is not essential.

Are you a Project Director / Pre Construction Director interested in taking the lead from the pre construction of a design & build healthcare project in Manchester?

Due to the successful contract award, you will be required to take the lead from the design stage through to project delivery.

Experience / Qualifications Required for Project Director:

• Proven pre construction lead capability within a large / Tier 1 contractor environment.

• Experience of delivering earlier Procure21 / Procure23 / healthcare projects from pre construction stage to project delivery
• Academically Qualified either BSC / HND or equivalent with relevant industry certificates & professional membership.

• Excellent planning & time management skills with the ability to think ahead & manage risk
