As a major part of the IRLSS team’s portfolio the Data for Research and Development Programme is a multi-million poundGovernment Major Projects Programme (GMPP) which aims to:

The Deputy Director Data for Research is responsible for delivery of this programme working closely with the programme SRO and the Director of Research. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a GMPP programme managing a talented and driven team.

We are seeking an experienced senior leader who has extensive experience of delivering large complex programmes across departments withan in depth specialist knowledge of the NHS data for research ecosystem including the infrastructure, architecture and policy.

The ability to work effectively with key stakeholders including the life sciences industry, academia, NHS R&D community, voluntary and charitable sector organisations is key to successful delivery and the successful applicant will have a track record of building strong collaborations with partners and stakeholders. An in depth understanding of the issues inherent in the use of patient data for purposes other than direct care is essential as is the need to ensure patient and public involvement is at the heart of decision making.

The successful applicant will be an active and visible IRLSS SLT member with proven ability to build high performing teams, fostering an environment for individuals and the team to thrive.

· Develop the infrastructure across the NHS for a federated network of national and sub national secure data environments offering a single front door to NHS data for research

· Lead and work closely with colleagues acrossthe Transformation Directorate to enable matrix working across sub directorates to ensure alignment and collaboration in delivery to support data enabled research and specifically delivery of the Data for R&D programme

· Represent the Data For R&D programme at high-level engagement withArms-Length Bodies, across Government, with industry, and all other stakeholders acrossthe health and care system.

· Drive and challengework across health regulators to ensure that the regulatory system supports wide-spread data-driven research and better partnerships with researchers and innovators. All with the aim of harnessing value for the NHS.

· Work across internal and external stakeholders to ensure patient and public involvement and engagement is at the heart of decision making and is embedded in the programme

We are looking for two TDs to join our Hydrology Team in Edinburgh and Leeds

You will currently be holding a leadership role for a hydrology team in a consultancy company.

Key responsibilities:

• Undertake and complete drainage strategies from conceptual stage to detailed design stage;
• Provide leadership in the areas of water quality sewage management and consenting.
• Undertake consultations with Local Planning Authorities (LPA), Lead Local Flood Authorities (LLFA) and other Stakeholders including Water Companies and Regulators;
• Undertake site walkovers and other technical and departmental duties associated with the role;
• Provide support in completing Flood Risk Assessments and ES Chapters;
• Support in bid preparation and fee proposals;
• Research and business development of potential new clients;
• Attendance at client and regulatory meetings;
• Keep up to date with drainage design trends, customer awareness and design techniques;
• Contribute to the development and mentoring of junior staff and the continual improvement of the Drainage team design and modelling capability;
