Director of Clinical Services

Location: Leicester
Rate Of Pay: up to £60,000 Per Year (Dependent on experience) + £250 Welcome Bonus

Information about the Role:

• You will use your clinical expertise and strong managerial skills to make a real difference to the lives of our service users.
• You will play a vital role supporting the Hospital Director in the delivery of exceptional quality, person centred care to our service users.

Duties will include:

• Leading by example to ensure consistently high levels of care are maintained
• Day to Day management of the hospital supported by the hospital Director
• Promote professional, clinical training & care & support planning within the home to maintain the health, welfare and wellbeing of the residents.
• Manage, maintain and oversee Registered nurses
• Clinical audits and reporting
• Family relationship building
• Staff supervision and appraisal
• Training of staff
• Delivering hands on care when required including some shift work (days, nights and weekends)
• Participation of on call rotas

CHIEF INVIGILATOR

The College operates across two closely located campuses, next to the University of Leicester on University Road and a smaller campus at Regent Road.
We are looking to appoint Chief Invigilators to work during the busy examination periods throughout the academic year. The college runs six main examination periods each year:
• GCSE Maths and English external resits November
• Vocational (BTEC & CTEC) internal assessments December
• Vocational (BTEC & CTEC) external exams January - February
• A Level and GCSE internal assessments February
• A Level internal assessment April
• Summer external exams May – June
Applicants must be reliable, conscientious and flexible with previous experience as a Chief Invigilator being desirable, but not essential and will be required to be available to work consistently across these examination periods. The Chief post holder must be willing to take responsibility on the examination day for task allocation of up to 13 invigilators.

The salary scale applicable to this post is in accordance with the Sixth Form Colleges’ Support Staff pay spine and will be paid at a rate of £13.53 per hour, plus holiday pay and will commence as soon as possible.

Main Responsibilities

This fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Director at Tarmac’s largest open granite Quarry. You will be inspiring and empowering your team to perform to their highest level your key deliverables will be (not exhaustive):

• Leading the Mountsorrel teams towards a target of zero harm through adherence to all health and safety standards and policies and enabling a culture of health and safety interdependence
• As part of the Midlands Leadership team, develop and execute through your teams the operational strategy across all disciplines aligned to the wider Tarmac and CRH priorities
• Through visible leadership, coach, create and enhance a positive work culture, including the attraction and retention of talent in an environment which encourages cross product and functional career development with strong succession plans at all levels
• Share and implement best practices from across Tarmac, the wider CRH business and externally, working closely with Tarmac's Performance team to drive an optimisation mindset within the operations function

We are looking for a Clinical Director who can show that they lead in the right way and that can evidence what they deliver. We will work together as a team across UHL to drive improvements in care and to create an environment in which individuals and teams can excel. The post is open to consultants working in an Acute Teaching Hospital who are able to demonstrate experience in Medical Management; a track record of dynamic and innovative leadership; are comfortable working with complexity; and have experience of working across service boundaries.

Candidates will need to be able to commit circa 5-6 PAs of their job plan to the role. For external candidates, the Trust will look to provide suitable clinical work or other management activity to bring the job plan up to 10 PAs should you so wish. This opportunity is open to colleagues who work less than full time (LTFT). We would welcome a discussion about individual circumstances if you are interested in the role.
