We are looking for a professional and dynamic Cardiology Operational Services Manager, who will report to the Divisional Director of Operations and the Cardiology Clinical Lead in the delivery of all operational functions for the service.
The Operational Services Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the service is delivered to the highest standards, capturing all facets of departmental metrics - performance, quality and finance. This role requires a high level of interpersonal skills, strong leadership qualities and a passion to lead a team to provide high quality care to our community.
The post holder will provide an increased focus on the delivery of streamlined, efficient services, which are managed and benchmarked nationally and internationally.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has the leadership experience to engage, encourage and support the existing team to drive clinical pathway innovations, productivity and high-quality patient care.
The post holder:
• Will lead and develop the service with responsibility for business planning, budget management and staff management, to enable delivery of access, activity, finance, staff performance, staff development and quality targets
• Has joint responsibility with the other managers and clinical leads to provide the overall leadership to the Cardiology Department. They will be required to establish, improve and maintain effective operational links with all relevant services across the Trust
• Will provide direct operational leadership to the Cardiology Department, the post holder will be responsible to, and support the Divisional Management Team in the achievement of operational and clinical governance objectives
• Ensure that the highest standards of clinical care are continuously delivered while delivering cost improvement and productivity schemes to support the wider Trust agenda
