YHA Hartington Hall is a beautiful 17th century manor house with gardens located in the picturesque village of Hartington in the Peak District. The Hall was built by the Bateman family. They were a well-established Norfolk family who settled at Hartington in the 16th century. It has been claimed that Bonnie Prince Charlie stayed at the Hall during the Jacobite rising of 1745.
The property has been ran as a Youth Hostel since 1934, so we were celebrating out 90th anniversary recently.

What will you be doing as a Reception and Accommodation Manager?
Our reception and accommodation managers are responsible for the reception operation within the hostel and support with a wide range of customer facing duties. They support the management of an operational budget and delivery of KPI’s and have management responsibility for their team.
Your day-to-day duties may include:

leading the team to provide excellent and consistent levels of customer service to all guests and visitors, giving them a great experience of YHA
monitor and control expenditure within the reception function

Our reception and accommodation manager role requires flexibility to cover different shifts and tasks. It’s an advantage but not essential that our housekeeping managers have worked in a face-to-face role with customers previously. The management and delivery of a quality customer service is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Able to demonstrate financial and commercial acumen, including risk management skills, reporting and presenting to internal stakeholders.

• Computer literate, with previous experience in managing asset management data, excellent MS office skills.

They are looking for an experienced Site Manager who has previous experience working on major internal and external planned works projects.

Duties:

• Set up site prior to the commencement of project work
• Plan projects and ensure they meet agreed specifications, budget and timescales
• Oversee building work
• Liaising with clients and reporting progress, professional staff (such as architects and surveyors) and the public
• Supervising direct labour and contracted staff
• Meeting subcontractors
• Making safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety
• Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings
• Maintaining quality control procedures
• Ensure timesheets are accurate and agreed with line manager
• Motivating the workforce

40 hours per week - Full time

Handkerchief Day Nursery are seeking to appoint a qualified Manager. You will be joining a nursery with ambitious plans, where the staff team are stable, happy and enthusiastic about creating amazing experiences for the children within their care. You should possess great communication skills and have a calm, approachable nature. Within your role a manager your purpose will be to provide the highest standard of compliance, care and education for children, and effectively manage daily operations of the nursery, including positive partnerships with colleagues and parents

This position would suit an experienced Manager who has at least a level 3 childcare qualification and who has previously worked in a similar role.

The aim of our nursery is to provide a happy, home away-from-home environment for all children in our care with emphasis on individual attention and learning through play. Our philosophy is that a child should be happy, safe and healthy in a stimulating and educational environment. We aim to work in partnership with all parents to provide a service that will reach their individual needs.

Requirements and skills:

• Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - essential
• Over 2 years’ experience of working in Early Years - essential

• Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding - desirable
