Your Mission
This position is responsible for driving activities related to digital transformation as a member of the Program Management Office at HMGICS. The role involves developing revenue generation and operational models for training, advisory, and solutions focused on digital transformation and new manufacturing technologies. Additionally, the position will serve as the junior chief of staff to the Chief Innovation Officer, with the potential to assume full responsibilities within the short-term, based on performance.
What To Expect
[1. PMO Member for Digital Transformation - 20%]
- Help define and enforce agile work processes to continually improve the velocity and impact of digital transformation activities undertaken by the relevant technology and manufacturing squads. As a member of the PMO squad serving Digital Transformation, this involves applying core technologies such as IoT, AI/ML/LLM, simulation, and automation to enhance operational performance.
- Engage with all relevant stakeholders within and outside HMGICS to develop insights that accelerate digital transformation.
[2. Revenue Generation and Operational Models - 50%]
Develop new revenue generation and operational models for HMGICS based on core capabilities. This may include, but is not limited to:
- Learning and training programs on Digital Transformation, e.g., for other manufacturing companies.
- Advisory and technology consulting services to assist companies in adopting digital transformation.
- Provision of core technology solutions.
- Other initiatives within the Hyundai Motor Group.
[3. Junior Chief of Staff - 30%]
Assist the Chief of Staff to the Chief Innovation Officer (CIO), with the goal of becoming the full Chief of Staff within 1-2 years:
- Actively manage the CIO Organization’s activities, time, and priorities to maximize impact and ensure the achievement of HMGICS's core objectives.
- Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and reports for executive meetings and communications on behalf of the CIO.
- Develop strong relationships with senior stakeholders within HMGICS, the Hyundai Motor Group, and external partners, with the aim of overseeing and coordinating cross-functional initiatives, particularly those related to Mission 2.
- Grow into a trusted advisor and thought partner for the CIO, providing insights and recommendations on critical decisions.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred); MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience at a top-tier management consulting firm, with strong references.
- Technical expertise in process innovation and business consulting projects.
- Extensive project experience in digital transformation, capability building, and new business models.
- Exposure to the technology or automotive industries.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office and MS PowerBI.
- Passion for the future mobility industry and a desire for accelerated growth within the organization.
- Strong interest in and familiarity with technology innovation and future tech trends, as well as business model creation.
- Inquisitive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement through innovative thinking and structured problem-solving.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Korean is a plus.
