Responsibilities

* Log, investigate, and support the management of safeguarding concerns: Handling allegations, concerns, and complaints efficiently and effectively
* Risk assessment: Support the assessment and manage risks and vulnerabilities to ensure gymnasts' safety
* Conduct investigations: Investigation of low-level safeguarding cases, to include interviews, gathering evidence and liaising with relevant stakeholders.
* Reporting high risk cases to statutory services.
* Monitor outcomes: Oversee the implementation of actions and disciplinary sanctions, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
* Work with a team of experienced Gymnastics Development Officers to support clubs, leisure centres and other environments where gymnastics takes place. This will include some travel across Wales.
* Supporting and advising clubs and leisure centres to ensure environments are healthy, happy spaces that promote gymnasts' wellbeing.
* Deliver training sessions for clubs, leisure centres and parents.
* Serve as a key point of contact, offering advice and support on safeguarding matters.
* Managing and supporting club Safeguarding and Wellbeing Officers.
* Deputising for the Executive Director of Safeguarding.
* Uphold policies: Ensure compliance with Welsh Gymnastics' policies.

Requirements

* Degree, Diploma or equivalent experience in social work or child protection is essential.
* Proven track record in safeguarding is essential.
* Experience of case management, lead or support role in safeguarding investigations and/or safety planning and risk assessing.
* Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough investigations and interviews.
* Full UK diving license with access to a vehicle.
* Full enhanced DBS (to be contacted by Welsh Gymnastics. Any job offer will be conditional on the outcome of the DBS check and references).
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, to include record keeping of meetings.
* Ability to provide safeguarding advice and guidance to our stakeholders, including gymnastics clubs and coaches.
* Meticulous record-keeping abilities.
* Competent in using Microsoft Office software
* Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders such as coaches and parents.

The Governing Body is looking to recruit a highly committed Estate Manager who will be responsible for ensuring the premises and site are safe, clean and well maintained for our staff and pupils. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, sets high standards for themselves and takes a pride in their work.
The post is 37 hours for 52 weeks per year, 5 days a week, with 27 days paid leave plus bank holidays. There is a requirement to work a split shift. Occasionally there may be the need for out of hours, or additional time, for which appropriate remuneration will be paid.
Annual leave must be taken during school closure periods (school holidays).
As part of your role you will act as the first point of contact for all building and site matters and so would need to be living within close proximity to the school.
The successful candidate will:
• Be an important member of the school team and demonstrate a positive and committed approach to the role;
• Be responsible for managing the maintenance of the school buildings and site;
• Be practical, hardworking, flexible and able to use their own initiative;
• Have a range of maintenance and DIY knowledge, experience and skills;
• Have the personal skills to make positive relationships with adults and children;
• Be able to manage and supervise all contractors and suppliers professionally;
• Be able to manage and supervise the cleaning team.
• Be able to manage and invoice all Hire within the school buildings and grounds;
• Play a key role in ensuring the Health and Safety of our school community;
• Support the school in its ambition to remain an eco-friendly school;
• Be able to use internet and basic IT packages;
• Be aware of their role in the children’s learning;

A house on the school site is available if required (a basic rent plus service charges would apply).
