Summary
The MCS COP Help Desk Product Manager is a people & technical leader for a staff of 10-15 employees aimed to provide technology support services. The role is not related to IT Support for the CAE Enterprise directly, but for an external customer. This position will provide oversight and input into all areas of this staff’s operation including scheduling, SOPs, and functional infrastructure. This is a customer-facing position that will have daily workday engagements with the government program manager and PMO representatives. Ideal candidates will bridge strong organizational skills, a baseline of technical skills and a working knowledge of the SOF community to lead the execution of a help desk. Strong written and verbal communications skills are must for the successful candidate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Establish and maintain governance for all aspects of help desk operations in a classified environment.
- Possess working knowledge of typical operations in classified environments.
- Staff and organize team members capable of working in a classified environment.
- Must be a self-driven leader with the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Communicate process and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain flexibility to shifting customer needs.
- Manage and navigate team member needs.
- Expected to provide mentorship and guidance to subordinate team members in dispersed locations.
- Attain knowledge operating within the Agile/ART Development Lifecycle.
- Must be able to perform effectively as part of the project team.
- Execute functions with a strategic and analytical outlook.
- Expected to work with multiple vendors and stakeholders within the Mission Command System program to ensure helpdesk alignment to customer requirements.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience leading/supervising teams up to 15 members.
- Four years minimum SOF, Operational, FSR-FSE, and/or technical experience. Candidate should be able to understand and communicate SOF operational language.
- Senior Military Planner with experience working in a JOC/TOC at multiple levels. Experience fusing intelligence capabilities in support of operations.
- Understanding of Senior Leader Mission Command needs with experience integrating Ops and Intel into a complete Mission Command Picture.
- Possess a working knowledge of command line and interacting with software, hardware, networks, and basic server administration. Able to apply innovative solutions to data integration across multiple platforms.
- Experience with most if not all of the following: SGE, Palantir, FADE/MIST, GCCS, AIDE, C2IE, JIRA, ATAK.
- Should have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to present in front of a significant sized audience.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite preferred.
- Possess analytical math skills necessary to complete the required tasks.
- Must be eligible for DoD Personal Top Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Skills
- Ability to read and interpret DoD and company regulations.
- Compilation of data and statistical analysis.
Security Responsibilities
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
- Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- Work must be performed onsite.
