Grangewater Ward is a fast paced assessment environment. Patients are admitted here for initial assessment with either a discharge plan/date set or continuing treatment bed need identified. MAIN DUTIES
• Responsible for the clinical leadership of a team of nurses in an Acute setting.
• Responsible for the assessment implementation and evaluation of care plans for individual service users.
• Work as a key worker advising and supporting colleagues as required
• To assist the Ward Manager in setting and maintaining high standards of care and evaluating quality outcomes.
• Participate in a range of assessments provided during 24 hour period.
• To take charge of the unit in the absence of the person with continuing responsibility, this includes the role of bed manager for the unit.
• To teach and supervise the team, including qualified, non-qualified and learners.
• Maintain good standards of communication, both oral and written, in accordance with NMC guidelines.
• Responsible for reporting to the Team Manager (or nominated deputy) any circumstances that may affect the delivery of care and / or efficient running of the ward.

The Role – Merchandise Manager
This role sits within our Commercial team, reporting in to the Head of Merchandising and leading and developing a team of merchandisers. You’ll be shaping and delivering the department strategy to align with business plans, managing the sales and profitability of the department to deliver against all KPI’s and working collaboratively with the Buying team to build great range and trade plans for our customers.

A full job description is available on request, but to summarise your key responsibilities as a Senior Merchandise Manager:


Shape & deliver department strategy to align with business plans, presenting all key financials to senior leadership team and building departmental budgets & phasing
Managing & forecasting departmental WSSI, addressing gaps between forecast & budget, highlighting risks and opportunities and managing KPIs
Overseeing Monday trade reporting and ensuring next steps are actioned in response to trading conditions
Develop and lead a high performing team, contributing to regular reviews capturing learnings & opportunities
Support the role out of new systems & processes to drive continuous improvement in the category
Working collaboratively with our buying team to build ranges that meet customer needs, maximising sales and profit density and identifying opportunities
Ensuring pricing is managed within agreed timescales, adhering to pricing policies
Ensure all systems & trackers are accurately maintained by the team
Work collaboratively with supply chain to achieve stock and availability targets, ensure intake & allocation plans are aligned to deliver the trade plan & manage clearance of terminal stock within budget
Monitoring critical path and escalate and resolve risks and opportunities
Creating exit plans to clear stock in line with agreed guidelines while optimising availability

Proven experience in commercial merchandising and category management, including strategy shaping & implementation, range & trade planning, OTB and exit management
Excellent analytical skills with experience of WSSI / forecasting and budget building

About this role:
The Essex Services Manager will be responsible for running the High, Medium and Low Services and delivery of a first-class service in line with the support services offered. The post holder will work as a member of the Senior Management Team working closely with other Operational Managers, the Executive Team, Commissioners and External Strategic and Clinical Partners.

Main Duties:
• Work with the CEO, Head of Operations and Regional Manager in maintaining the high standards connected with strategic planning and development, supervision, delivery and administration of the service;
• Lead on assessment and support plan delivery in line with the Care Programme Approach;
• Promote and develop good practice and best value for the service through leadership and act as a positive role model in relation to personal and professional conduct.
• Develop and maintain links with external agencies in order to ensure effective service for all.
• Develop and manage all aspects of these services within the services good practice policies and guidelines.
• Manage data collection by staff re. Outcomes and Recovery STAR, report writing, policies, planning, budget management as part of the Senior Management Team;
• Flexibility in working hours required in a High, Medium and Low, 7 days a week service.

Essential Requirements:
• Good level of maths and written English
• Experience in supervising/line managing staff with an awareness of good practice in staff supervision or recent completion of an appropriate training programme.
• Good standard of office administrative practices and procedures
• Ability to work with the Multi-Disciplinary Team to identify support needs of service users and ensure that these are communicated to the wider staff team
• Ability to plan, manage and prioritise a high workload to meet deadliness
• Excellent communication skills – written and oral and negotiation skills
