Turner & Townsend are looking for  Senior Project Manager to join our award-winning, for Delhi cost centre, growing project management team working within Turner & Townsend's team.

Role within the Project

• The senior project manager expected to be the project lead and SPOC for the client.
• Responsible for the overall delivery of the project and will be the ‘Go to’ person for all the queries and information.
• Able to be set up the project, all project management systems, lead the client meetings and handle a team of project managers/ assistant project managers/ health & safety manager/ billing & QS manager/ scheduler/ document controller under him.
• Should be able to drive the project through all stages including set up and project brief, design, tendering & procurement, construction, handover & closeout.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the project meetings & handle all client communication (verbal and written)
• Set up initial systems, governance, reporting & communication protocol, set up project controls such as risk management, change management, quality & HSSE
• Be responsible for overall delivery
• Drive output from the project team, lead a project team of 10+ members
• Be able to lead and deliver other aspects of aspects of commission management such as Risk management, CEP, leading bid proposals and presentations

Reporting

• Depending upon context, a  Senior project manager is likely to report to a Area Manager or Associate Director.

• The position is a working leader for housekeeping operations throughout the VA Medical Center(s).
• The position leads Housekeeping Aids and others as assigned.
• The position leads three (3) or more employees in performing their duties while performing the full range of housekeeping tasks required to maintain the Medical center and other facility units in a clean, organized and sanitary condition.
• The position is guided by EMS and Medical Center policies and procedures, VA regulations and verbal instructions from EMS Management. The leader communicates instructions from the Supervisor to the employees and then validates the completion of the work assigned.
• The position coordinates projects with nurses and other area supervisors to ensure work timely and successful completion.
• This position sets the pace of each task, demonstrates methods and techniques and provides direction to assigned employees in their proper usage is cleaning supplies and equipment. Ensures all tasks are complete and deadlines are met.
• This position is responsible for training the employee in proper procedures and techniques to meet or exceed desired outcomes of workload and safety.
• This position reports progress of employees to the Supervisor and makes recommendations as necessary, on all matters to include the progress of work, any infractions of policies and procedures, and assures all safety compliance.
• As a working leader, the position also performs the full range of housekeeping duties.

• Comprehensive knowledge of, and/or the ability to quickly learn and apply the broad range of administrative laws, policies, regulations and precedents applicable to the supervision of the environmental management program. This includes the knowledge of the VISN, facility and department goals and objectives, key programs, Bargaining Unit Master Agreement, disciplinary actions and other requirements needed to maintain an orderly, clean and sanitized environment. Knowledge and experience with all organizational elements of EMS. Knowledge of employee and union contract relations, disciplinary actions, missions, organizations, programs and requirements of healthcare delivery systems.
• Extensive knowledge of the basic principles and practices related to the day-to-day operations of housekeeping within a healthcare setting and the ability to apply this knowledge to solve unique problems arising in the VHA healthcare delivery systems.
• Broad knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for analyzing and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of EMS service to maintain a clean, sanitized and safe environment for all stakeholders within our local facility per higher echelon evaluations and infection control procedures.
• Assists in planning, developing and implementing comprehensive plans to meet and/or exceed EMS-related customer needs in compliance with local policies, OSHA, The Joint Commission, Infection Prevention, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), VA and Environmental Program Service (EPS).
• Knowledge and experience in communicating, educating, training, facilitating nd maintaining cohesive and functional cross-disciplinary teams to support all stakeholders. Skilled in planning, organizing and directing housekeeping and linen work teams to accomplish EMS requirements.

Major duties and responsibilities include:

• Leads a crew to accomplish assigned projects and daily operational functions;
• Ensures awareness of trade techniques and practices;
• Demonstrates proper work methods and works along with others;
• Provides staff with daily tasks and follows up to confirm completion;
• Checks work while in progress and when finished;
• Discusses with supervisor the training requirements, problems and other issues;
• Assists in developing plans for storage and arrangement of stock;
• Advises workers on guidelines or special instruction to meet deadlines;
• Consolidates materials to provide maximum space utilization and protection of materials;
• Coordinates incoming and outgoing shipments and placement of materials;
• Serves as a senior member of the warehouse project team when involved with special projects;
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
