The Capital Programmes Division is looking to recruit an experienced CAD practitioner for its Senior CAD Officer position. The Division reports to the Deputy Chief Executive and is responsible for developing and delivering Major and Minor Capital Programmes across the City. The current value of the programme is approx. £200m pa. The portfolio of work is varied and some of our current and previous projects that we have been involved in include, for example, the construction of new schools, large scale solar PV installations, building demolition, repair, maintenance & refurbishment of heritage buildings, school refurbishments, galleries, leisure, and park buildings.

The Senior CAD Officer role is based in the Design Team, which is one of the teams that sit within the Capital Programmes Division's Project Management Office (PMO). The Design Team is responsible for providing technical design and drafting expertise and guidance on a range of construction projects to other construction teams within the Division.

As well as playing an active part in the custodianship of drawings / 3D models and monitoring of quality of information issued out to both internal and external clients, the role holder will support the Design Manager to deliver a customer focused service that support the Major and Minor works programmes fee earning teams and be actively involved in the way data is captured and managed regarding all built assets.

The role will also involve:

• Setting up drawing office standards and developing manual and instruction books for staff to follow.
• Developing and setting work targets and reviewing progress against these targets.
• Managing other CAD Officers.
• Developing team CAD skills and assisting Design Manager in developing new design services.
• Managing quality initiatives in relation to all design documentation.
• Identifying areas of continuous improvement.
• Taking the lead on key CAD issues and having input in feasibility work.
• Visiting site for survey purposes or capturing asset data and attending meetings with clients and other third parties in person at various locations.

Flexible and hybrid working are available for this role, subject to business need.

The successful candidate will have an HNC/HND/ degree level qualification in a construction related discipline and have an extensive knowledge of CAD/ICT applications and their use within the construction industry. A comprehensive understanding of the property and construction industry with an awareness of the overall impacts of the estate on the organisation is also required.

You will also be familiar with the National Building Specification (NBS) and be able to advise on component specification and design detailing queries.

Additionally, you will also have excellent communication, problem solving, analytical, planning and organising skills and be able to make effective decisions that support the team, the Division, and a range of internal and external clients.

We are seeking a Senior Surveyor to work within our Corporate Estates Service. The role holder will support the Principal Surveyor in the day- to- day management of the operational estate, as well as supporting the delivery of a range of strategic Estates projects, including capital projects.

The Service acts as the ‘Corporate Landlord’ for the City Council and maintains and manages the operational estate to support the quality of services provided by the organisation and its partners, reduce costs, reduce carbon emissions, support new ways of working, strengthen community activity, and ensure our properties remain safe and accessible.

The operational estate includes a diverse portfolio of over 300 sites that the Council uses to deliver services, ranging from offices, depots, community centres, accommodation supporting children’s services and health and care services, buildings in parks, leisure centres and changing rooms, libraries and markets. The portfolio includes a number of significant heritage buildings, and major Manchester landmarks. The role includes close working with the Capital Programmes Service and Facilities Management Service, and a range of internal and external stakeholders who rely on the operational estate to deliver services.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate knowledge/experience of the following:

• Working within a large and complex organisation.
• Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including senior officers and elected members to ensure their property needs are met.
• An experienced chartered estate surveyor with experience of landlord and tenant matters, including negotiating leases, licenses and managing other property transactions.

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Trauma and Orthopaedic team based at Epsom & St Helier Hospital as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Trauma and Orthopaedics.

The job plan consists of elective spinal clinics, elective hand clinics, general fracture clinics, elective operating support for spine and hands, trauma and on-calls.

The post is designed to provide you with a thorough and comprehensive approach to surgical management of patients. The educational methods include assessment of patients in clinics, pre-operative planning sessions, rounds and direct surgical experience.

This post is for 9 month fixed term only. Contract ends 30th Sept 25.

You will be part of the 1:12 on-call rota.





Assessment, care and treatment of patients presenting acutely to the specialty and referred to the specialty.

• Participation in the middle grade on call rota and to provide cover in exceptional circumstances for colleagues’ absence.

• Attending clinics and assessing patients and formulating treatment decisions seeking advice from the consultant as appropriate.

• Attending operating sessions with the consultant and assisting or performing operations as appropriate.

• Conducting daily ward rounds on inpatients under the consultant’s care, supervising the junior doctors in the care of these patients.

• Teaching and training staff in other medical disciplines, nursing and support staff as appropriate.

• Communication with other team members as appropriate.

• In conjunction with the admitting clinical teams and the wider health economy, to develop and implement integrated orthopaedic and emergency care pathways throughout the Trust.

• Participation in relevant audit and quality assurance processes.

• Abide by the Clinical & Corporate Governance policies of the Trust.

The post holder will be required to participate in the Middle Grade (Registrar) on call rota on a 1:12 basis, shared with colleagues. The post holder will also be required to participate on the Registrar of the Week Rota. At night the hospital runs a Hospital at Night service and as such the post holder will be expected to work as part of that team. At night, the Hospital at Night team base should be used during quiet periods. However, the Registrar is non-resident on call after 8pm
