Applications are invited for the 12 months fixed-term post of Senior Anatomical Pathology Technologist for the Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Mortuary Service. We are looking for an individual with proven technical skills to provide maternity cover and support our busy team.

Our service is comprised of two HTA-licensed mortuary sites, with Basingstoke & North Hampshire Hospital Mortuary currently providing hospital and Coronial services, and The Royal Hampshire County Hospital Mortuary providing hospital, Coronial and a forensic mortuary services. In total, around 1200 Coronial Post Mortems are carried out annually over both sites. Applicants should have a detailed awareness of HTA standards and licensing requirements.

The successful candidate will have an innate empathic approach towards the bereaved and a supportive attitude to colleagues in an emotionally and physically demanding workplace. The role will include participating in the 24/7 on-call service and as a dual site mortuary service, while the successful candidate will be based routinely at the Basingstoke site for technical work, there will be a rotational requirement to work cross-site to ensure consistent technical support to the overall service. To support the Mortuary Manager in the provision and development of a comprehensive mortuary service at Basingstoke & North Hampshire Hospital and Royal Hampshire County Hospital at Winchester mortuaries To assist in organising staff in the day to day operational rota, overseeing and training junior staff when conducting post mortem examinations, receiving / releasing and ensuring that confidentiality and dignity of the deceased are maintained at all times

We’re looking for a qualified therapist (Level 3 Diploma or suitable equivalent), with a minimum of 12 months industry experience who can help with day-to-day supervisory responsibility within the Spa. Ideally, you’ll have previously worked with Elemis or a similar luxury product house.

Our business is open all year round, so you will need to be available for some weekend working – but don’t worry, this is done on a rolling basis, and you will get your share of weekends off!

The Cardiac Investigations unit at Hampshire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Cardiac Physiologist/Cardiac Clinical Scientist specialised inCardiac Rhythm Management and/or Cardiac Cath Lab.

These roles are required to help support the expansion of our service - we have recently opened the Hampshire Hospitals Heart Centre, which is a newly built cath lab unit with two cardiac catheter labs and a 10 bed day case unit. We have also started an Electrophysiology and Ablation service.

We are a dynamic and enthusiastic team of staff working across Basingstoke and Winchester hospitals, in a rapidly expanding investigations department which has a strong education and training programme.

Competence within the Cardiac Cath Lab for coronary intervention procedures is a requirement as the candidate will be expected to participate in the 24 hour PPCI service (on-call room available).

We are willing to support candidates wishing to specialise in complex devices the opportunity to sit BHRS accreditation.

A 20% R&R bonus is available for the successful candidates.
• Undertake a range of advanced physiological tests on adult patients to aid in clinical diagnosis, and provide an accurate report on these findings within a timely manner.
• Maintain the clinical knowledge and expertise to escalate significant findings, and where appropriate advise clinicians based on these.
• Be responsible and accountable for the day-to-day provision of high quality care within the department.
• Participate in the on-call 24 hour primary PCI rota.
• Assist in delivering assessments, training and clinical supervision in all areas of cardiac physiology to members of physiology staff and students.
• Support the education of cardiac content to trainees from various non-physiology disciplines.
• Lead clinical audit to improve the services delivered by the department.
• Facilitate and attend weekly MDTs for your specialism.
• Engage in internal and external education to reinforce and further develop clinical knowledge.
• Contribute towards quality improvement initiatives across the department, including implementing and maintaining trust policies, and embracing new technologies.
