Clinical To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work, including the management of patients in your care. To be responsible for maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient treatment records in line with Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) standards and local/Trust policy. To communicate appropriately with other disciplines (this might include meetings, report and letter writing) To undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients including those with diverse or complex presentations/multi pathologies; use advanced clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques to provide an accurate clinical diagnosis of their condition. When working on the emergency duty on-call rota, provide advice to medical and nursing staff and other members of the multi-disciplinary team regarding patients respiratory/ major trauma orthopaedic/ neurology and chest functions/condition and its management. To train, clinically supervise and performance management more junior staff, technical instructors, assistants and students, with assistance from more senior members of the physiotherapy team. This will include the use of formal appraisal documentation. Represent physiotherapy service and /or individual patients at the multi-disciplinary team meetings, to ensure the delivery of a co-ordinated multidisciplinary service, and integrate physiotherapy treatment into the treatment programme. Day to day, you'll be:

• Responsible for Electrical/Electronic aspects of marine system design
• Integrating practical electrical, electronic combat and automation product solutions not only within the same disciplines but defining the interfaces with others constructively and mechanically.
• Providing electrical & electronic design support by preparing and checking design documentation, reviews, estimates and schedules, also, in support of tender responses requiring design input. Supervising, planning and controlling work to time, cost and quality.
• Developing Electrical/Electronic engineering design solutions for a variety of different platforms across the full Engineering Lifecycle. This will include substantiating the integrity and performance of new system designs within their operating environments.

This role is full time, 36 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.

Essential experience of the Senior EC&I Engineer:

• You will have a high level of developed knowledge as the role is directly accountable for design development, and determining solutions to problems and issues within the specialist subject area. The ideal candidate will be at a Senior Electrical/Electronic Design Engineer level with significant experience in engineering calculation, analysis and integration with an in-depth understanding of system electrical design, and skilled in supporting and developing less experienced team members.
• It would be beneficial if you have experience working on UK naval marine shipbuilding projects or defence related design experience but this is not essential. Electrical & Electronics experience in other industries would be considered including facilities, Oil & Gas and Aviation.
• Experience of operating in a defence or high safety integrity environment
• Experience of all phases of the engineering lifecycle and configuration control systems

Qualifications for the Senior EC&I Engineer:

• Qualified to degree level, or HNC/HND equivalent, coupled with significant experience in the relevant engineering discipline.

This will include establishing and maintaining channels of communication that disseminate key clinical and organisational information to all relevant staff and allow feedback. Maintain good relationships with other professional leads and all members of staff, thus developing professionalism through the unit. This will include dealing with all disciplinary issues and will require the use of influencing/negotiating/empathetic and basic counselling skills. In conjunction with the multidisciplinary clinical/management team, lead the communication of change within sphere of responsibility. Ensure good communication both verbally and via formal documentation with all members of the multidisciplinary clinical/management team. Work in partnership with the patient, family and external agencies as appropriate and other health care professionals in resolving formal and informal complaints. Ensure staff are aware of and able to locate all policies relating to good working practice within the clinical area. Arrange and chair regular staff meetings, ensuring agreed actions are minuted and reviewed. Participate, and where appropriate lead, in other Directorate / Corporate forums as required. Lead the integration of Patient and Public Involvement agenda within sphere of responsibility. Work across organisational boundaries in order to enhance professional practice and support a care pathway approach to the provision of care Attend meetings as required in order to support the delivery of the professional and managerial agenda. Act as role model for difficult and complex behaviours actively seek opportunities to include junior staff in situations where complex issues/behaviours are addressed. Present formal reports at various Trust wide forums Maintain good working relationships with Union Representatives and staff as required especially during implementation of new working conditions.
