The Workday Senior Consultant is responsible for techno-functional leadership and solutioning comprehensive and end-to-end processes on Workday implementations. Responsible for ensuring timely and quality execution of client deliverables and consulting with clients on Workday projects. Drives the development of solutions to complex problems/projects across multiple domains or large clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading all stages of the project life-cycle for the client, from planning and design phases through requirements definition gathering, configuration, testing and implementation of Workday functions.
- Liaison between clients and the internal staff to ensure effective coordination and delivery of Workday implementations.
- Individuals in this role may be expected to either:
- Techno-functional guidance to a team of individuals as well as to take on a lead role within any project in which they may serve as an active participant; OR
- Become the lead Subject Matter Expert within the functional area of Workday.
- Work in a fast paced environment that requires tasks to be completely quickly and accurately.
- Use the methodology and processes to implement successfully while remaining agile and flexible to client changing needs.
- Provide high level of customer service to ensure client is enthusiastic about Strada.
- Lead large projects through all stages of the project life cycle.
- Lead discovery sessions to gather requirements to help refine Workday configuration.
- Analyze, define, configure and document complex business requirements and processes.
- Lead configuration and business process walk through with the client.
- Build and test Workday and ensure that all requirements meet the client needs.
- Troubleshoot business processes, calculated fields, business logic, file loads and configuration.
- Provide guidance, instruction, direction, and leadership to other team members as an people manager.
Knowledge, Education, Certification, Skills & Technical Proficiency:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical, business or financial discipline or relevant field of study
- 3 to 5 plus years’ experience leading Workday project implementations
- 5 years previous experience implementing or configuring systems. Such experience may include Workday, PeopleSoft, SAP, Taleo, ADP, Oracle E-Business, Ultipro or other SaaS software solutions
- Experience in transforming business requirements into complex system configurations
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Previous consulting experience either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software organization
- Experience in transforming business requirements into complex system configurations
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Current Workday HCM+ or Financials certification required
- Workday Pro Certification will be considered
- Workday Certification is a requirement of the role. Candidates who are not certified will be considered for the role, but they will need to successfully pass Workday certification as well as on-going successful re-certification
