About the Role As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll bring expertise in cost management, procurement, and contract administration to ensure projects are delivered on budget, on time, and to the highest standards. You’ll also provide leadership to project teams, fostering collaboration and mentoring junior staff to achieve shared success.
Key Responsibilities Cost Management
- Prepare and oversee cost estimates and detailed project budgets.
- Monitor project costs, identify savings opportunities, and manage variances.
- Deliver regular cost reports and forecasts to stakeholders.
Contract Administration
- Lead the preparation, negotiation, and management of construction contracts, including handling variations, claims, and disputes.
- Ensure all contracts comply with legal, regulatory, and client requirements.
- Provide strategic guidance on contractual matters, resolving issues efficiently.
Procurement
- Oversee the tendering process, including preparing documents, evaluating bids, and selecting suppliers.
- Negotiate contract terms with subcontractors to achieve optimal outcomes.
Risk Management
- Identify and mitigate risks such as cost overruns and delays.
- Develop and implement strategies to manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Team Leadership
- Mentor and coach junior Quantity Surveyors, promoting professional development.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
What You’ll Bring Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Chartered status with RICS or equivalent (essential).
- Extensive experience managing complex construction projects.

- Expertise in cost management, procurement, and construction contracts.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities.
- Proficient in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office.
- Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach.
