Core Role - Pharmacy Clinical Trials To obtain and maintain Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training. To apply principles of GCP in the management of clinical trials and work within the Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trial) Regulations 2004 and EU directive relating to Clinical Trials. To communicate with Investigators, Research Nurses, Trust R&D, Sponsors, Clinical Research Associates and Pharmacy staff during the set-up and running of a clinical trial. The post holder is an important member of Radiotherapy Technical Services, providing comprehensive first line support for the Varian linear accelerators and Siemens CT. The post holder is responsible for the day to day running of their electronics laboratory. The applicant will be required to manage their own time efficiently due to mainly sole working as an engineer in this dept. The community palliative care team is a dynamic multi-disciplinary team who provide specialist palliative care services to Oxfordshire and South Northants. This includes home visiting, outpatient clinics and a telephone advice line. A full driving license is essential, as is the ability to work anywhere within Oxfordshire and South Northants.

The Community Palliative Care Team provides end of life, symptom management and communication skills training and teaching to all levels of staff. A strong aspiration for learning and teaching is therefore essential.

Senior Specialist Nurses will be able to;

- Demonstrate and promote a patient and family centred style of clinical practice.- Be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care from admission to discharge.- Accurately document and report to other members of the nursing team, multi-disciplinary team and family/carers regarding the care given to patients, and communicating changes as they occur.- Respond to emergency situations with composure, maintaining patient safety and seeking immediate support, and supporting the patient, family/carers and other staff as required- Identify and discuss patient needs with the team/staff, patients, carers and the multidisciplinary team. Be able to plan own workload.- Demonstrate a problem solving approach to effectively execute planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised plans of care based on a person centred model of care.- Communicate complex and sensitive information effectively to patients, carers and other staff, overcoming barriers to understanding and providing support during distressing or emotional events.- Maintain patient dignity and confidentiality at all times.
