As a Senior Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision’s, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

Your new company
You will be working for a national tier 1 contractor that has a strong pipeline of projects across a variety of sectors. They prioritise a relationship based business strategy which ensures a strong future workload based on preferred bidder contracts and repeat business.
Your new role
As the commercial lead within your specific geographical region, you will be responsible for leading your team and managing your designated projects from stage 2. Working closely to the contracts commercial targets you will advise the management team, producing accurate and timely commercial reports.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have previously worked as a senior quantity surveyor and have experience managing a team, ideally on projects above £10 million. You will hold a B.Sc. in quantity surveying (or similar field) and be working towards a professional membership.

The project aims to: (1) Explore and validate new approaches to target LRRK2; (2) Perform systematic mechanistic, structural and safety analyses to benchmark new LRRK2 modifiers that emerge from this effort and (3) identify clinically relevant biomarkers for LRRK2-driven Parkinson's disease that will facilitate the selection of patients who respond to LRRK2 inhibitor therapy. We aim to galvanise research and accelerate the development of Parkinson's disease therapeutics. These positions enable further training in state-of-the-art methods through the course of the project, and involve wider collaboration with Protein Phosphorylation and Ubiquitylation Unit members, other academic Institutions worldwide and industrial partners working in this area.

The appointed post holders will be based within the laboratories of Dario Alessi, Esther Sammler and Paul Davies within the University of Dundee's MRC Protein Phosphorylation and Ubiquitylation Unit (MRC-PPU, http://www.ppu.mrc.ac.uk/).

Carbon60 are seeking a Senior Authorised Person to join our client's team on a contract basis supporting a large-scale gas turbine project in Suffolk.

Role: Senior Authorised Person
Location: Suffolk
Sector: Gas Turbine
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 3 months with possible extension
Rates: Up to £450 per day outside of IR35.

Responsibilities

• Extensive knowledge of plant mechanical and electrical systems, as well as a strong understanding of P&IDs, electrical one line / multiline and other technical drawings.
• Progressive and engrained approach to safety and environmental regulations, especially in relation to the implementation of safe working practices to identify potential hazards and provide recommendations to improve standards onsite where appropriate.
• Point of contact for all things safety (Lockout / Tagout (LOTO)) in addition to regular site analysis, work authorisations, confined space and hot work permits.
• Represent the client in relation to site protective measures identified on the permit to ensure standards are met prior to authorisation of work scopes.
• Issuing of tag & locks for all personnel
• Log daily reports with accurate documentation pertaining to locks and permits (open & closed) as well as ensuring the placement and removal from designated equipment and systems.
• Timely, efficient and accurate reporting to Lead Engineers, Commissioning Managers and Head of Commissioning

Requirements

• 3+ years' experience in HSE & LOTO processes of power stations
• NEBOSH / IOSH / SMSTS (Preferred)
• HND/HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
