We now have a vacancy available for a motivated, experienced and enthusiastic paediatric nurses to assist in leading our team in our brand new Children’s Emergency Department. We are a busy department who currently see about 30,000 children per year in a purpose built paediatric area within the Emergency Department.

We are proud of our purpose built, state of the art Children's Emergency Department which is a dedicated area to see children including two resuscitation bays, a high dependency area, an outside play area, a multi-sensory treatment room and an adolescent area, all finished to a high specification, to provide high quality care to the children of Croydon. We have a well established, friendly team of ED nurses and are supported by a Paediatric ED Practice Educator who is based in the unit.

We are seeking experienced dynamic individuals who can flourish working within a fast paced and demanding environment. You will need sound clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, leadership and the ability to work well in the multidisciplinary team. DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Support foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for all children and young people in foster care.
• Support and monitor the continued suitability and competence of Foster parents ensuring they provide a safe, healthy, nurturing and learning environment for children/young people.
• Ensure that carers fully understand the fostering task, competencies to be achieved and the standards expected, including complaints and representation procedures as detailed in the FCA policies and procedures.
• Provide and record regular supervision to allocated foster parents in line with FCA's Operational Standards.
• Work in partnership in a team parenting approach to help identify any needs within the foster family e.g. respite, activities, therapy, holidays, with all members of the child's network, including contributing to all relevant meetings and any other tasks defined.
• Ensure each child and foster parent are fully compliant in respect of all key documentation.
• Attend meetings and/or provide reports for Commissioning Teams to address individual packages of care.
• Promote participation of children/young people in the development of the agency and in accessing resources and opportunities in their local community.
• Participate in an 'out of hours' support service on a rota basis
• Participate in day 'duty system' on a rota basis supporting referrals team
• Undertake occasional initial home visits and Form F Assessments.

YOU MUST HAVE:

• A Social Work qualification
• Professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent
• Proven ability to produce a high standard of report writing
• A comprehensive working knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures
• The willingness and ability to travel extensively (including occasional nights away)
• Confidence with transporting children and young people in sometimes stressful/difficult situations
• Full driving licence

About the role

As a Senior Care Assistant at MHA you will lead and inspire a team of committed care assistants to provide the highest quality of care to our residents enabling them to live later life well. Duties will be varied and include supporting our residents with personal care needs and helping them to take part in a wide range of activities that support their health and wellbeing. In addition, you will administer medication and maintain clear and accurate records. Every day will be different and you'll have the opportunity to use your leadership and people skills to make a real difference.

About you

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be passionate about caring for older people, have previous care experience and, as a minimum, hold an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in health and social care and be willing to complete level 3. In addition, you will have experience leading, coaching and motivating a team to deliver high quality care.

You will have a kind, warm and caring nature and be able to work well as part of a team but also use your own initiative. Patience, communication and listening skills are equally important. Maintaining accurate records, time management and prioritising tasks will also be strengths. Senior Clinical Pharmacist

Band 7 (Full-time + EDC)

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Croydon Health Services (CHS) for a dedicated and organised pharmacist to support the clinical pharmacy services team. Our Pharmacy Services are highly respected and our staff work closely with multi-disciplinary teams.

The successful applicant will have previous hospital pharmacy experience, having provided clinical services to a variety of clinical environments. You will join a team of dynamic, senior, rotational pharmacists, gaining valuable experience across a number of clinical areas (for example, medicine, surgery and critical care, antibiotics, high cost drugs and oncology and technical services).

Under the guidance of your lead directorate pharmacist, you will be introduced to core directorate activities of reporting and analysis of medicines expenditure, clinical governance and risk management. You will be responsible for co-developing pharmacy services and providing professional cover and training to junior pharmacists.

We were one of the first Trusts in London to launch electronic prescribing and administration for inpatients and outpatients and are continuing to develop the system. We work closely across the interface to deliver innovative work to improve the quality of patient care and experience across the primary/secondary care boundary.

The post holder will provide a Clinical Pharmacy service to a defined specialty on a rotational basis. They will deputise for the Lead Directorate Pharmacist in the delivery of the directorate responsibilities and duties and will assist in providing and maintaining a safe and efficient pharmaceutical service to a cohort of patients in accordance with Trust policies. They will support and supervise less experienced pharmacists on rotation. They will deliver, develop and evaluate specialist clinical pharmacy services in accordance with the objectives set by their section lead. Each rotation has been designed to develop clinical, specialist and leadership skills, ensuring the development of a well-rounded and capable pharmacist.

The HR Advisor / ER Specialist is responsible for the management of Employee Relations Cases supporting Managers and individuals in the policy and process
to deliver a professional and legally safe HR service.

The HR Advisor will be responsible for:
 Ensuring that standards and objectives for the Employee Relations service are met and are consistent with policy, best practice and employment law.
 Being part of the upskilling of line managers by creating and delivering briefing sessions for
line managers on HR policies and processes.
 Work with staff side colleagues to ensure that there is a shared understanding of policies and procedures working and review across the organisation.
 Be a working member of the job evaluation process and panels as required.
 Supporting all staff and managers with dignity regardless of the case supporting individuals from the point of raising a concern and opening a formal case right up to exits (including dismissals and retirements)
