Schedule

A Senior Planner will be expected to complete duties with a relatively high level of independence and have considerable direction over assigned tasks due to an assumed understanding of project needs resulting from prior work experience:

• Performs technical review of land use and development proposals (master plans, site plans, subdivision plats, civil construction drawings, etc.) to ensure compliance with design criteria and regulations, mitigate impacts to the parks and open space system, and implement department goals and objectives.

• Initiates and fosters outreach and consultation with staff in other divisions of PROS as well as other departments to gather input related to potential impacts and mitigation measures for projects being reviewed.

• Prepares commentary and organizes project documentation so that plan review comments and decisions are well-grounded.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The new Development Review Division of the Public Works Department is seeking Real Property Specialist Senior. The Real Property Specialist Senior is responsible for reviewing subdivision plats, site plans, legal descriptions for easements or license agreements and makes recommendations for revisions or approval.

This new Development Review Division has been created to consolidate Public Works development review including site plans, civil plans, traffic engineering and Real Property reviews with a focus on customer service and achieving or
exceeding performance metrics.

The city’s overall development process, spanning several city departments, is managed by the Office of Development Assistance (ODA), a division of the City Manager’s Office. ODA’s project managers are the liaisons between our development partners including initial department introduction meetings, development applications and planning approval, civil construction document review and approval and building construction document review and approval and permitting. Departments that are integral to the development review process include ODA, Planning and Development Services, Aurora Water, Parks Recreation and Open Space and both the Public Works Engineering Services Division and Building Division.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

This role supports all City departments on a day-to-day basis.  This position is an integral part of the City’s Networking Team.  This team is responsible for all network connectivity at all City sites.   

WHAT ARE THE DAY TO DAY EXPECTATIONS?

This position will be tasked to help design, maintain and support Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and Wireless LAN (WLAN)networks for both voice and data applications.

• Monitors and administers the data network systems.

• Communicates networking issues to other employees and management

• Installs and configures network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues

• Implements, maintains and monitors Information Security standards specific to the Network infrastructure.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & WORKING CONDITIONS

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 4 years of relatable experience in lieu of a degree

Experience:

• 5 years of Network Administrator experience

• Palo Alto Environment

• Network Technical Documentation and Topology

• Flexibility to work within multiple network environments with different topologies

• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with city staff, management and vendors

• Microwave Radio Network, line of sight, wireless data infrastructure and network troubleshooting experience

• Running multiple projects simultaneously

WORKING CONDITIONS Physical Demands:

What You’ll Get to Do:  

We’ll look to you to help design, develop, and maintain microservices and a UI for a data-rich application with complex user workflows. As a part of the development process, you will write automated tests, deploy to a fully automated DevSecOps pipeline, and influence the current architecture and future technical direction of the project. Each day, you can expect to report a brief status at an agile stand-up meeting, dig into the highest priority work to accomplish that day, code with your teammates, and participate in TEMs as needed.

• Available to work in-person at CACI facilities in Sterling, VA or Aurora, CO
• Experience with either Web/Front End and/or Back-end with willingness to do Full Stack
