• You will be responsible for accomplishing a broad range of administrative, program support, logistical, and technical services in support of the Chief of Naval Air Training mission and to enhance the operation of the department.
• You will perform clerical duties to include receiving visitors and phone calls, providing informational updates to staff members, preparing and maintaining correspondence pertaining to travel, training, supply requests, and other actions.

The AMSA works collaboratively in an interdisciplinary coordinated care delivery model (i.e., PACT, Specialty Clinics, Compensation & Pension (C&P), Community Care) and performs clerical duties, customer service and other duties as assigned for the proper and timely treatment of patients. Clerical duties: maintains appointment schedules for Community Care, communicates with Community Care providers to ensure they accept VA patients and payments, prepares any required pre-appointment documents, schedules the appropriate level of care and documents the schedule in the appropriate consult. Obtains medical documentation from community providers, scans to appropriate consult within the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) and alerts VA providers for continuity of care. Coordinates internal and external care between customers and providers. Processes consults following Office of Community Care procedures and guidelines and enters appropriate authorizations, if required, utilizing the correct Fund Control Point (FCP)/Obligation number and correct cost estimations. Explains the VA's mandate to collect insurance information to Veterans, their families, and other eligible patients. He/she collects, scans, and updates health insurance information, serving a major role in the revenue process. Leads and assists in direction of Recreation Assistant (lifeguard) positions; including monitoring pool activities and ensures swimmers are well supervised to ensure all applicable policies and procedures of Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR)
regarding the use of Aquatic facilities and waterfront operations are followed.
Communicates these polices to other staff and patrons.
- Ensures lifeguards perform their duties in compliance with established regulations and instructions that are outlined in applicable manuals and policies and reports infractions to the supervisor.
- Ensures that lifeguards rotate as scheduled and during assigned breaks. Provides relief to lifeguards as required.
