The Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Support Assistant to join our Operations team.
Providing administrative support across our Parks and Open Spaces, Waste, Commercial and Street Scene Enforcement teams, you will act as a point of contact for customers and offer advice and assistance on a range of queries.
You will also organise and take minutes at meetings, develop and maintain databases, prepare paperwork and reports and raise and process invoices.
This is a permanent, full time role. We offer flexible working arrangements, with a mix of home and office working.
Experience:
With proven administration and customer service experience, you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
You will also have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team and have a flexible and pro-active approach to your work.

Accountabilities:
- Act as the initial point of contact for all customers contacting Operations by telephone.
- Respond to all customers in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner, ensuring that messages are relayed to the appropriate officer(s) for action.
- General Administration duties, including telephone, E-Mail, minute taking, typing, and filing for Operations.
- Provide administrative support for all the teams within Operations by providing information/advice (either verbally or in writing).
- Organise meetings, prepare agenda and take minutes/action points for meetings as directed by the Business Support Supervisor.
- Develop and maintain various departmental information systems, e.g. databases, spreadsheets, ensuring that up-to-date information is recorded and retrieved.
- Where requested, prepare relevant paperwork and reports, maintaining accuracy and ensuring that deadlines are met on software systems such as Collective and Pentana.
- Raise orders using eProcurement and process invoices.
- Take a lead role in the delivery of specific activities (to be determined by the Business Support Supervisor).
- Provide information, as required to enable statutory returns to be completed.
- Assist in relief duties in the absence of colleagues within the Strategic and Business Development Team.
