Physician Assistant - Liver Transplant/Hepatobiliary Surgery Transplant –Inpatient - Nights - Cornell Campus

For example, the first three-way kidney transplant in New York City and the first combined heart-liver transplant in the New York region were at New York-Presbyterian. Only a few such cases have been performed to date worldwide. Today, we continue to set global standards. Our Physician Assistants practice as a cohesive team to ensure the care and caring of our patients and their families. You'll often hear our PAs refer to New York-Presbyterian as a PA-run institution. Take front line responsibility for screening, diagnosis and treatment of reproductive conditions as part of a proud, patient-focused tradition.
The focus of our team is to provide outstanding care to the liver transplant and hepatobiliary surgical patients. The PA acts as the nucleus of a multi-disciplinary team that is made up of transplant surgeons, hepatologists, transplant pharmacy, social work, dietician and psychiatry. The PA follows those patients who have undergone a liver transplant or have had hepatobiliary surgery closely and takes ownership of their care. The transplant PA runs the service in conjunction with the above disciplines and becomes an expert in management of liver transplant patients. The service is an excellent combination of medicine and surgery, which is unique for the inpatient setting.
This position will work three 12.5hour NIGHT shift per week with flexibility to rotate to day shift.
Preferred Criteria
Required Criteria
- Bachelors or Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies
- Current NYS licensure
- BLS/ACLS certified
- DEA certified

$140,000-$177,600/Annual
