Ferguson is seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for an entry level Counter Sales Representative.

Starting at $18/hr

Schedule: M - F 7:30am - 4pm

Responsibilities:

• Provides advice to customers regarding the best products to fit their needs
• Processing orders via order management system
• Operate cash registers and follow established cash handling procedures
• Prepare and stage orders for customer pick up
• Maintain store appearance and merchandising standards as advised
• Ensure that merchandise is restocked and placed in their respective areas
• Maintain a safe working environment including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

Qualifications:

• 0-3 years of experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of products is preferred
• General computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise
• General math skills to allow for cash accounting
• An ability to learn is a must have!
• Excellent decision making and communication skills

Position Summary

Police officer trainee is a full-time, non-sworn, temporary classification intended to prepare individuals to become sworn police officers. This position, under direct or general supervision, performs a variety of non-sworn law enforcement duties and attends a formalized education program in preparation for employment as a police officer.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• General knowledge of modern law enforcement practices, procedures, and investigative techniques, as well as having knowledge of local, state, and federal laws relative to civil and criminal processes and procedures or the aptitude to learn criminal justice principles.

• General knowledge of firearms handling and other law enforcement equipment, as well as being able to exercise sound judgment in emergency and routine situations and to adopt quick, effective, and reasonable courses of action.

• Requires the ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid and coherent conclusions.

• Requires the ability to understand and respond to critical situations and establish methods to resolve such situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Upon completion of police academy, patrol's campus/location either on foot or in an official vehicle to answer complaint calls, investigate disturbances, accidents and/or criminal activity.

• Prepares files and records associated with a variety of investigations, as well as testifying in a court of law, if applicable.

• Plans and organizes daily work routine. Establishes priorities for the completion of work in accordance with sound time-management methodology.

• Attends meetings, planning sessions and discussions, on time and as directed.

• Develops and maintains working relationships with co-workers, students, faculty, staff and other stakeholders and constituents internal/external to the Dallas College network community.

• Uses tact and diplomacy to effectively handle requests, suggestions, and complaints internal or external to the Dallas College network.

• Recognizes and emphasizes the importance of maintaining a positive image within the district and surrounding area.

• Identifies or assists in identifying alternative solutions to problems or situations, implementing decisions in accordance with prescribed and effective policies and procedures and with a minimum of errors.

• Collects evidence, writes preliminary reports on each case after initial investigation; prepares supplemental reports as necessary.

• Interacts with the public with courtesy and tact.

• Exercises self-control and good judgement in emergency/hazardous situations.

• Uses appropriate safety principles and techniques.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to, computers, calculator, copier, and fax machine. Some crawling, reaching, handling, sitting, standing, pushing, bending, and pulling. Physical capability to run, walk, and climb over rough and unfamiliar terrain, fences, and other obstacles for extended periods of time. Operate motor vehicle for long periods of time. Control person resisting arrests; to move a disabled or combative individual. Reasonable accommodations may be made to individuals with physical challenges to perform the essential duties and responsibilities. Must be able to wear a standard issued duty belt with all applicable equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or the ability to complete an Associate’s degree within six (6) months of hire.

• Psychological testing, freedom from drug dependency testing, and a physical (medical) will be conducted as a condition of employment.

• Works shifts, as assigned, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Trainee may be assigned to various campuses/locations throughout the Dallas College Police Department.

• Must successfully complete a certified Basic Law Enforcement course as prescribed by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) and associated field training within one year of employment.

• Must have a current and valid Texas driver’s license.

• Official transcripts and licenses will be required.

We are looking for a Summer Trainee to join our Invoice to Cash team in Global Finance Services during the summer 2024. This position is based in Espoo, Finland. The role is full-time, hybrid, and to be started preferably in May and lasts until September.

Responsibilities:

You will join our global Invoice to Cash team in our Global Finance Services. In this role you will be responsible of our daily AR activities in Europe and North America together with your team.

• Prepare, verify and post payments and transactions related to accounts receivable
• Post and reconcile customer payments (cash, check and credit card transactions)
• Investigate and clear miscellaneous differences
• Participate in accounts receivable month end closing processes

Experience:

You are a true team player with positive can-do attitude. You have precise working style with self-driven approach and working under pressure with flexibility is familiar to you. As we are a global team you don’t mind working late afternoons or early evenings at times.

• On-going studies or degree in finance, accounting or similar

Principle Responsibilities

• Assists Operating and Maintenance Engineer or other qualified staff.
  • Help with boiler plant duties, running the HVAC systems and performing both preventative and corrective maintenance work.
  • Assists with cleaning and maintaining shop area, equipment and tools.
  • Report hazards and/or potential work hazards in our facilities in order to prevent injury to self, peers, patients, and visitors.
  • Performs preventative maintenance work orders and ensures equipment exceeds industry average life expectancy ratings.
  • May work out on the hospital floors completing daily work requests.
  • May operate trucks to plow snow and lawn equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description, and High school diploma or GED preferred
• Licensed Boilermaker-Engineer - MN Department of Labor & Industry required MN Special Boiler's License or higher within 30 Days
• Licensed Boilermaker-Engineer - MN Department of Labor & Industry required MN 1st Class B or higher at the end of the program
