• QUALIFICATIONS
  Must be 18 years of age and have a HS Diploma or equivalent. Operator must be able to retain a large volume of product knowledge and manufacturing variations. Operator must be able to read the contents of nameplates and production orders, assuring that they are properly processed and filled.  Must be able to understand and set dials when operating the filling machines. Operator must maintain inspection logs. Fill out daily timecard including production counts and orders. High school experience or equivalent for the job is helpful.  Must be able to read and write and understand simple math and basic computer operations. Report scrap on scrap tickets discrepancy reports. Knowledge and ability to read and understand the setting gauge readings, use hand tools, air wrenches, riveters and knowing proper start-up and shutdown procedure.
  DUTIES
• Checks to see that all parts are available for assembly from work order specifications. Glues, positions, and operates. Operator inspects inside of shells for fabrication defects. Operator keeps a record of processed and rejected shells. Operator performs minor maintenance on the gluing apparatus to assure proper operation. 
• Following correct production orders assembles component parts to extinguishers using hand tools. Visually checks components for their completeness.
• Assembles extinguishers according to established safety procedures to pressurize shells to 50/120/240 pounds per psi prior to leak testing.
• Operates semi-automatic wet and dry chemical filling machine to fill various size Sentry extinguishers, including stored pressure models with various types of the chemical agents and FE 36. Task involves setting timers and adjusting filling cycles according to chemical agent variation.  Weights the filled extinguishers and assures proper weight according to UL specifications.
• Wipes excess dry chemical from extinguisher; attaches visual seals, adds component parts as required by production order including extra labels. Operator stamps packages with lot number, part number, and other applicable stamps. Check packages and places extinguishers on a pallet keeping a record of the number and type of extinguishers packaged. Task includes operating overhead hoist for handling large extinguishers. Operator does final inspection on product prior to releasing for shipment. Occasionally prepares cartons for shipping. 
• Touches up any shell with paint.
• Supporting the training and development of peers within the organization.

The Human Health and Performance Contract is seeking an entry level Systems Engineer for an upcoming NASA exploration project in the Houston, Texas area. This position is a support role developing and integrating next generation technology, processes and design, into flight solutions that will enable astronauts and the program to safely return to the lunar surface. In this role, the candidate will define and manage system requirements, verification and validation activity, help define the system architecture, evaluate system characteristics and performance, lead integration efforts, participate in testing of work products and support the lifecycle review process. In addition, duties will include participation in design reviews, risk and opportunity management and leveraging subject matter experts to execute technical strategy. Candidates will also routinely be required to work with innovative technology, design and processes developed internally by NASA and externally by leading technology companies and will perform trade studies and execute down select. As such, a desire to understanding the Systems Engineering lifecycle process is required. Applicants must have experience with leading technical projects.

Leidos is seeking an Entry Level Structural Drafter to work out of our Chicago office.

As an entry level drafter, you will coordinate directly with our civil engineers supporting our substation/transmission civil-structural work creating construction ready plans, sections, and details for structures/foundations. The prospective candidate will demonstrate the ability to take basic direction and drawing markups from engineers to start projects and create comprehensive final drawing packages for our client base. A substantial attention to detail will be required, and the candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD (no exceptions). Effective communication supported by a philosophy of continuous improvement and teamwork is required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare civil-structural plan and detail drawings for above grade support structures and below grade foundation details.
• Ensure engineering design details are properly represented as drawn to scale items, bill of material creations, and follow client provided drafting standards for layers, title blocks, and other industry specific requirements.
• Exercise good judgment in selecting and interpreting data based on survey results
• May provide additional support on additional civil engineering project work, including site work and development.
• May provide additional support to our physical design group in laying out plans, sections, and details for substation projects.

BASIC REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• AA/2-year degree in Engineering Technology - CAD or related scientific/technical discipline with less than 2 years of experience.
• An additional 4 years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education, along with CAD certificate.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, required.
• A course in school that taught the use of 3D drafting basics
• Good communication skills.
