In return, we offer you a thorough training in CBT based at the University of Reading (UoR), clinical experience through Bucks Talking Therapies, and a supportive supervisor team, at both University and on placement, throughout your training. The training programme is scheduled to start late February 2025 and ideally people will start work with the service in early February to complete induction and other duties. Applicants must be able and willing to travel to Reading regularly for their training year (university supervision is blended and teaching is held in person). You will attend the UoR Post Graduate Diploma in Evidence Based Psychological Treatments for two days a week from March 2025. You will receive clinical supervision (CBT) from the UoR and Bucks Talking Therapies BABCP accredited clinicians, as well as managerial supervision in service. Please note:for those applicants who already hold a psychological therapist qualification (e.g. clinical, counselling or health psychologists or core profession) these posts will be a Band 7 during and post training.Please mention this during your interview if you think you may be eligible to be paid at Band 7 during training.For all other applicants, the post will be a Band 6 during training, moving to a Band 7 once the training course has been passed and competencies have been achieved. Following completion of the course, moving to a qualified Band 7 post will be contingent on meeting a number of strict criteria related to the roles and performance of a HI therapist. These will be regularly assessed over the first 6 months post qualification and all these need to be fulfilled to meet the full requirements of a HI therapist. PWPs are eligible to apply when they have completed a minimum of 2 years of employment as a PWP after passing all PWP course requirements at internal exam board. The only exception to this 2 year rule is if a PWP holds a previous core professional qualification recognised by the BABCP. You will have an understanding and experience of cognitive behaviour therapy and wish to complete a BABCP accredited training in CBT. The training prepares you to meet BABCP accreditation requirements in order to work in Talking Therapies services. This is an excellent, but demanding course and candidates are expected to complete all its requirements within 12 months of starting the training. The course you will be completing at the University of Reading as part of this role is a Level 2 accredited course with BABCP. This means that upon completion trainees will meet criteria to apply for accreditation as a CBT therapist with the BABCP. Due to continued growth, our client is looking to expand their existing team with the addition of a highly motivated and career-minded individual to train in life safety systems engineering, based from home.

You will have the opportunity to travel around the UK developing your technical and process skills with training on a wide range of life safety systems and equipment types installed within blue-chip customer sites.

You will have 12 weeks of ‘on-the-job’ training, where you will learn more basic technical and statutory requirements in servicing, repair, installation, commissioning, and project engineering life safety systems, including fire alarms, voice alarms, fire extinguishers, and refuge & call systems.

Predominantly Lancs, Manchester, Liverpool, and surrounding areas., though some training & work may require further UK travel, including occasional working away from home, this would be communicated and agreed upon in advance. All travel, hotel & subsistence costs are met by the company

What you will need: -Trainee Life Safety Systems Electrical Engineer

· A technical mind with the desire and drive to progress within the fire industry

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team

· Full driving licence you can use in the UK, with no more than 3 penalty points

A supplementary industry-recognised external training package will also be provided and tailored to the individual needs of the successful candidate, based on their previous experience, qualifications, and skills.

Full-time 37.5 hours Monday to Friday, although regular overtime and weekend opportunities are available.

Ideally, you will hold GCSE grade C (or equivalent) or above in Maths, English, and any technically related subject, City & Guilds 231 Electrical Parts 1&2 / IEEE 17th / 19th Edition / ONC is Electronic engineering or equivalent would be a great advantage but not essential

The basic salary will be based on your previous experience and qualifications. Oversee routine ward work by the foundation doctors. Assessment of emergency admissions; discussed with the on call registrar or consultant. Assisting and operating in theatre. (Local anaesthetics and general anaesthetic lists). Emergency and elective out-patient clinics. Teaching Tuesday a.m. dedicated teaching time with juniors and consultants being actively involved. Teaching presentations on various topics of importance in plastic surgery, and discussions of the latest scientific research covering all aspects of plastic surgery. There is a monthly hospital audit. Monthly Morbidity and Mortality meeting. Monthly Histopathology meeting with consultant Histopathologist. There are teaching ward rounds. There are excellent postgraduate facilities at the hospital with a first class library. In addition, the plastic surgery unit has its own library. The specialist trainees can attend British Association of Plastic Surgeon meetings, advanced courses and Regional meetings if workload permits.
