We are looking for a talented trainer to join our team and participate in the delivery of training across the Voyage Care Group utilising various methods of delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring all employees are trained in line with legislation, contractual agreements, Policy and Procedure and individual need.

As a trainer you should be able to work within a team and on your own initiative delivering training and developing bespoke training packages in line with the needs of the business and the people we support.

Responsibilities of the role:

1. To support the Learning and Development Team by working as a member of the team in developing and fulfilling training strategies for the company to support its business objectives.

2. To actively participate in the development, planning and delivery of induction programmes, mandatory, value based and specialism training (including Specialist Behavioral Support Service, new development and acquisition inductions) throughout the company in various locations, utilising different methods of delivery to ensure the appropriate level of training to meet the company objectives.

3. To liaise with both internal and external SME’s to ensure existing content is kept up to date with current legislation, standards and company policy.

4. To actively participate in the delivery of training provision and development opportunities for all staff across the company, ensuring the most effective use of resources and appropriateness of delivery.

5. To work with the Senior Training Team ensuring training programmes are in place, available corporately and locally to meet individual and service need requirements that are reviewed in line with current practice and trends.

6. To maintain accurate course attendance and training records using the systems available within the business.

7. To evaluate effectiveness of learning materials and update these accordingly.

8. To contribute to all aspects of training and assessment throughout the organisation to ensure a fully qualified workforce, compliant with the National Minimum Standards, Regulatory Requirements and Policy & Procedure.

9. To provide operations with advice, support and guidance regarding training and assist with the development of new services and newly recruited staff throughout the organisation.

10. To support the Learning and Development Team with the development of innovative, flexible and appropriate initiatives to meet the company’s training needs.

What we're looking for:

Essential:

Good general level of education including English and Maths to GCSE standard

Level 3 Award in Education & Training, PTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent

2 years experience in a training role

Developed and delivered training for employees at various levels

Evaluation and assessment of training

Different training and assessment methods (including remote and classroom delivery)

Knowledge of learning disabilities, autism, brain injury rehabilitation and mental health

Good working knowledge of regulatory requirements, legislation, policies, procedures and business processes

Desirable:

Relevant Health and Social Care qualification / current knowledge

Relevant management/professional qualification

Training requirements associated with the Care Standards/Act

Job Purpose

• Take the strategic lead for development and delivery of a range of internal audit work, including management of a team, for a specified area of responsibility in line with Public Sector Internal Audit Standards.
• Identify improvements in internal control, governance, risk management and operational effectiveness and efficiency, liaising and dealing with all levels of employees across the organisation to agree the changes necessary to drive that continuous improvement.
• Provide a source of expert advice/consultancy, including attendance at relevant boards, on a wide range of internal control, corporate governance and risk management arrangements. Principal Internal Design, implement and maintain the systems required for delivering the objectives of your function to support the Combined Authority in achieving its vision.
• Take a pro-active corporate role in the management of your function including participating in delivering your directorate's objectives.
• Demonstrate commitment to corporate processes and ensure these are delivered at all times.
• Be a visible and enthusiastic manager, encouraging partnership working across the organisation.
• Influence, develop and motivate your team, taking a positive approach to their development.

You will be able to demonstrate:

• CCAB or CMIIA qualified
• Practical experience of successfully performing in a similar role.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of audit techniques, practices, procedures and statutory regulations and their application.
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and policies associated with controls, risk management and governance processes in local government.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of systems of internal control, risk management and governance processes across public sector services
