Successful candidates will join a Diabetics and Endocrinology Department at a time of rapid growth and service development across the whole local health system including primary care, secondary care and community care.

The successful candidates will be a ‘generalist with a special interest model’ of placing ward based acute and sub-acute ward based general internal medicine as a core function while maintaining a specialty interest. The candidate will be welcomed into a well organised department providing a wide range of services in ward based General Internal Medicine and specialty and sub-specialty level services in Diabetes and Endocrinology. We work collaboratively and supportively together and are always looking to improve the care for our patients.

2. To perform administrative duties including those associated with the care of patients, the day-to-day running of the department, coding and mandatory returns, as well as the collection of other data as required by the Commissioners for performance management.
3. To participate in the development of the service, working to the service specifications and providing input into strategy and planning to the Service Director and management team as required.
4. To carry out all duties at the highest possible standard and in accordance with current quality initiatives within that area of work.
5. To cover for colleagues’ annual leave and other authorised absence, on a reciprocal basis.
6. Any other duties that may be required from time to time

To provide administrative support. Attend internal and external meetings relevant to post, taking minutes and distributing using appropriate systems, arranging a variety of meetings and sourcing agenda items, as directed by the and Operational Lead. Process staff change forms and relevant letters; data amendment forms; termination forms and general HR relevant information. Support and participate in the Business Meetings held on a monthly basis within the clinical teams. Contribute to a robust and strong cohesive framework from the established BSO network, providing support to colleagues to ensure consistency and equity of provision across Services/Teams as required. Responsible for liaising with Corporate / Support Services to obtain data / performance reports e.g. activity reports, workforce and training data, financial information. Provide regular monthly Service/Team updates as required to Head of Specialised Services and Operational Lead. Ability to use a range of software programs, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and a range of office equipment including multi-function device for photocopying, printing, scanning etc. To be available for regular supervision by the Operational Lead. Undertake regular 1:1 supervision sessions with identified administration staff as directed by the Operational Lead and report any training issues and needs. To deliver appropriate training to staff and support induction for new member of staff and produce appropriate training plans/s for the role. Attend and participate in BSO Meetings. Be accessible wherever possible at all times within core working hours. Autonomy to provide a comprehensive business support infrastructure for the Head of Specialised Services and Operational Lead in extracting and analysing reports and data for all Key Performance Indicators (Quantity and Quality) and feeding back in such a format that can be understood and actioned by the Services/Teams to achieve compliance, inform supervision and forward planning. Monitor ESR Business Intelligence system to ensure compliance with staff mandatory training/appraisals/sickness providing reports as necessary. To ensure robust systems are in place to monitor, capture, extract and analyse relevant data to measure performance against contracts and to support compliance with Key Performance targets providing relevant information on a daily basis in a variety of formats. Monitor, extract and analyse complex information from a variety of sources including the Patient Information System in order to meet reporting requirements on a daily basis. This includes sensitive information contained within clinical documentation. To support the Operational Lead and wider MPFT staff to work alongside 3rd Party Sector colleagues within the Autism Hubs. Assist the Operational Lead with monthly Nominal Roll, leave and expense returns as required providing reports as necessary. To deliver appropriate training to staff on the Patient Information System and identify and report any training issues/needs to the Service Manager and Operational Team Leader. Review Risk Register on a regular basis in line with local guidance. Collate CQC evidence as directed by the Management Structure. Contribute to local policy and suggest changes to improve service or protocols.

We have an exciting opportunity for Internationally Educated Midwives to join our OSCE training programme, to enable you in obtaining your NMC registration.

You will join us as a Band 4 pre-registration Midwife, progressing to Band 5 once you have completed a bespoke OSCE programme of at least 12 weeks and gained your NMC PIN. You will then undertake a 12 to 24 month Midwifery Preceptorship programme, on completion your salary will increase to Band 6.

You must hold a Midwifery qualification and have an active registration overseas. Please ensure you have completed your NMC eligibility and qualification application and have completed your CBT and OET/IELTS prior to application. You must be dedicated to undertaking additional study and to passing your OSCE.

We would also expect you to stay with The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust for at least 3 years after you become NMC registered to build on your skills. • Undertake care of antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal women and their babies, as per Trust guidelines, polices, procedures within National guidance and according to NMC Rules and Codes.
• To provide inclusive midwifery care that is woman/pregnant person focused and evidence in all midwifery settings, which may include working within a continuity of carer model in line with recommendations of Better Births (2016).
• You will be expected to work autonomously within guidelines and the sphere of professional practice to implement personalised care.
• You will be able to provide care throughout the antenatal, birth and postnatal period, while ensuring a holistic approach to woman’s/pregnant person’s physical, psychological, emotional, and social needs are met. Effective multi-disciplinary working is essential, communicating and referring to the Team of Specialist Midwives, Obstetricians and Consultant Midwife where required to ensure appropriate and safe care is provided.
• To participate in the design and development of new ways of working that benefit the women/pregnant people and their families whilst improving working conditions of the team.
• The post-holder has a defined sphere of practice and should provide motivation within a midwifery team and be a resource for knowledge and clinical expertise.

Funding Support Package by the Trust
• We will reimburse you for your CBT and IELTS/OET examination, up to 1 attempt. You will be required to self-fund for further attempts.

• Flight to the UK and travel to the hospital.
• In order to support your relocation, the Trust will pay your accommodation costs for the first three months of employment
• Certificate of Sponsorship.
• Funding of NMC OSCE training and exam costs and accommodation.
• Funding of the OSCE, the Trust will cover the funding for 2 OSCE attempts, however you will be required to pay for a third re-sit if required.
