We are looking to recruit a Legal Intern to be based in Ho Chi Minh office.

Key internal relationships: Partners, Deputy MD, all staff of the Office

Working Hour: Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 12:30pm and from 2:00pm to 6:00pm

Main duties of the role

• Report to and take instructions from the Advisers;
• Provide support and assistance to the Advisers;
• Do legal research under the supervision of the Advisers;
• Draft client correspondence under the supervision of the Advisers;
• Participate actively in the Firm’s business development efforts, including government relations, various chambers of commerce, business clubs, and other relevant groups; and
• Undertake other duties as may be required from time to time.

Essential skills & proficiency

• A tertiary degree in Law or another degree that includes significant studies in this discipline;
• Prior work experience at a professional global service company
• Prior work experience in a multicultural workplace

• Good English in speaking and writing

About the role: This position will support financial accounting, audit work of Vietnam, report directly to the chief accountant. This position will be trained in practical knowledge of accounting, tax, auditing, as well as soft skills necessary for the job. An important factor for this position is to have a good working attitude and a basic knowledge of tax accounting in Vietnam.

I. Logic Design

• Involve in some or all aspects of digital integrated circuit design from initial concept through to design and verification of Chip (SoC/ASIC), IP/Peripheral and CPU core by hardware description language (Verilog HDL) or High-Level language (C/C++)
• Evaluate and test prototype on FPGA or Functional Evaluate of actual Chip
• Initially mentored by a senior engineer, your role will be to understand and simulate existing circuits, making design changes as requested and/or participation in test and evaluation of completed designs.

II. Physical Design/ DFT

• Physical Design: physical synthesis, place & route, timing closure, and timing/physical verification for IP, CPU, and Chip design.
• DFT: Design for testability (Memory/Logic BIST, SCAN, Boundary Scan) insertion, verification, and test pattern generation for IP, CPU, and Chip design
• Join a training program to master EDA tools before the actual job
• Initially mentored by a senior engineer in an actual job

Your new role
In your new job as Syndicate Technician, you will be responsible for producing MRC and binding authority contracts, associated reinsurance contracts and endorsements or other required documentation. You'll be using internal and external tools to ensure that documentation contains the correct clauses, conditions, fees etc for that jurisdiction.Ensuring that documents are peer-reviewed before being sent to the market Liaising extensively with Underwriters and Colleagues daily. Other duties will include monitoring renewals and assisting the Operations Team with ensuring that these are invited and completed on good time. This will include full monitoring of risks (new and renewal) from inception to completion. Inputting & updating policies on in-house and external systems in an accurate and timely manner.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have proven experience in the London insurance Market working as a Technician where you have end to end technical experience from premium chasing through to the understanding of MRC Slips. You will be analytical and be able to analyse trends on data within Slips and be able to notice complex trends in the Slips as well as being confident in chasing broker payment. Have a professional approach with an outcome-focused and positive attitude. Flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities and work. Be self-motivated & enthusiastic. Have solid data entry skills with the ability to identify numerical errors. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude and excellent attention to detail.
