Position Overview

We are looking for an intern to work remotely on the core web applications, frameworks, and shared libraries that power the Autodesk Construction Solutions backend. Our team builds the frameworks and tools that enable other backend developers, and the core services that power our connected platform. During your time, you will be paired with another team member who will guide you in learning our technical infrastructure and assisting you on your projects.

Responsibilities

• Maintain core backend services and APIs that other teams depend on

• Develop the shared libraries and frameworks that power our backend services

• Create tooling and processes to enhance the observability, scalability, and performance of our backend services

• Handle the problems of large distributed systems

• $47,840 and $95,680 (undergraduate students)

• $118,560 and $162,240 (PhD students)

Position Overview

We are looking for a remote intern to work on the core web applications, frameworks, and shared libraries that power the Autodesk Construction Solutions backend. Our customers are building some of the most amazing construction projects on the planet, and you will develop the platform their software runs on. During your time, you will be paired with another team member who will guide you in learning our technical infrastructure and assisting you on your projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, and deliver cloud-based back-end applications to improve product availability, scalability, and performance

• Conduct code reviews with a blameless and learning mindset

• Create reusable automation libraries, patterns, and APIs that can be shared across the enterprise on a unified platform

• Work with open-source tools, rich dashboards, and implement proactive monitoring solutions

• Support our existing public cloud solutions and workloads

• Work on our platforms reliability, scalability, and extensibility

• Coordinate and perform minor and major upgrades with zero downtime

Minimum Qualifications

• Study in a bachelor's degree like computer science or software engineering

• Understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, theory basics)

• Experience in languages such as Node.js

• Experience with AWS is a plus

• You strive for understanding, build the appropriate solution, and iterate quickly to provide high impact results

• You love building elegant and maintainable code: Abstracting and refactoring is a passion, not a chore

• You have a high degree of customer empathy and drive to understand users' pain points

Internship Summary: We are actively hiring for an Advanced Analysis Intern! This summer, we are looking for motivated individuals looking to begin a career in our Personal Lines and Product Management division to support our Advanced Analysis team in our Data Science department. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to provide analytical and statistical insights with data to support strategic projects. 

CSAA Internship Program: As an intern, you will participate in an 11-week summer internship experience with an emphasis on hands-on learning and real-world immersion into our business. Our interns participate in professional development and job-specific training and plenty of networking opportunities to gain deep understanding of their role and department while also broadening their knowledge of CSAA’s business. We offer an Intern Hackathon, executive meet and greets, community service opportunities, and social bonding activities to help you stay connected.

Internship Details: The anticipated dates of our 2024 summer internship will be May 20-August 2. This role is open to both remote or hybrid based out of our Glendale, AZ office. The anticipated hourly rate for this role is $30.00.  During the summer, there will also be an optional in-person visit to the Glendale, AZ office, paid for by CSAA Insurance Group, to give interns the chance to connect with other interns and CSAA leadership. 

Essential responsibilities

• Gain exposure to Advanced Analysis by evaluating impacts of business changes and proposing solutions to business challenges

• Work on a capstone project throughout the summer related to insurance product management that requires the use of real data, analytical tools and software, and then present the story behind the numbers to senior management

• Receive career development and support from an assigned mentor to grow your statistical and analytical skills and business acumen

• Gain exposure to large datasets using tools such as SAS, Snowflake, SQL, and various statistical programming languages

Ideal Qualifications

• Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a quantitative or analytically focused degree

• Rising juniors and seniors graduating December 2024 or later

• Interested to begin a career with a focus on statistical analysis and/or product management

• Previous exposure or experience with coding and/or statistical software

You'll work on projects and guide them through research, exploration, design, and delivery for the solutions that power the Autodesk Construction Solutions. During your time, you will be paired with another team member who will guide you in learning our technical infrastructure and assisting you on your projects.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with your design mentor, product manager, and engineering partners to design solutions for customer problems

• Use Figma and other documentation tools to explore design solutions and get them ready for engineering execution

• Build domain knowledge and an understanding of our users’ mental models to design intuitive workflows for them

• Bring your work to design critique and work with other designers to refine and test your solutions

• Leverage user research to test your designs with users

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree in Computer science or Software engineering

• Design process knowledge, with experience applying it to different types of problems

• Experience with Figma, Sketch, Invision, or similar design and prototyping tools

• Can work within an existing design system, and have an interest in contributing to and evolving ours
