Are you interested in an Intern opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) degree to participate in a 12 week paid intern opportunity at our site in Nashville, TN. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience in a HealthTech company.
In this role, you have the opportunity to
Provide excellent customer service to ensure service contracts are compliant to policies and entitled correctly in our database, per customer contractual requirements. This allows our customer’s equipment to receive proper maintenance resulting in the ability to save the lives of our patients.
You are responsible for
Coordinating and administering all phases of service contract management, including but not limited to:
- Performing contract review, for compliance, to ensure all applicable policy criteria have been satisfied
- Analyzing and limiting business risks
- Utilizing critical thinking to analyze complex contract requirements, special provisions, pricing, internal approvals, and terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations and corporate policies
- Creating customized, timely, and accurate invoicing per terms of service contract
- Confirming a valid path to cash
- Serving as the point of contact for other team members and internal and external customers
- Creatively consulting with sales and/or service proposals on alternative options to provide guidance of requirements and partnering to drive solutions
- Managing competing priorities and deadlines while continuing to provide outstanding support to our internal partners and external customers
- Proactively supporting teammates with workload volume as bandwidth allows
- Maintaining a winning partnership with Sales and other internal teams to ensure continuous alignment with joint goals and objectives
- Seeking out opportunities to challenge yourself and others; finding new ways to positively affect the team, the customer, and the business
- Participating in or leading project development and execution for continuous improvement
- Researching and resolve customer billing disputes, escalating as needed
- Supporting other business functions to achieve shared business objectives
You are a part of
A team focused on the customer with a drive for continuous improvement to make it easier to do business with Philips. The Service Contract Administrator possesses knowledge and understanding of the Customer Services business and portfolio offerings; reviews proposals for compliance prior to order acceptance, creates and operationalizes orders in the ERP system, and manages service contracts throughout their lifecycle, including large-scale accounts.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
- Enrolled in an accredited university pursing a Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
- Excellent and concise oral and written communication skills, including active listening
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office (Word and Excel)
- Passion for customer experience, operational excellence and continuous development
- Eager to take on new tasks/responsibilities while developing and sharing best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and advocating for change as well
- Proven ability to use good judgment and make confident decisions
- Strong organizational skills and aptitude for detail
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
- Self-starter; Ability to work under minimal supervision on day-to-day activities while maintaining a high degree of integrity
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
Philips Transparency Details
The hourly pay range for this position is $20.00 to $23.00, plus overtime eligible. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
