The Role
The City Council is excited to announce an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join the Housing Systems Team at Lancaster City Council. In this role, you will provide a high level of support to colleagues across the service.
As a postholder, you will gain valuable experience of systems administration by maintaining existing systems and assisting in the rollout of a new IT system. You will collaborate with staff throughout the service to help develop streamlined processes and configure systems accordingly.
Whilst previous experience of systems administration is not required, the ideal candidate will possess strong IT skills, a keen eye for detail, the ability to manage their workload and meet deadlines, and a willingness to learn the job specific elements.
This is a full-time temporary position working 37 hours per week for 30 months. The Council currently operates an excellent Flexible Working Hours Scheme which applies to this post. Subject to the needs of the business, this may allow employees to work between the hours of 6.00am-10.30pm.
We can also offer a package of training, support, mentoring and opportunities for hybrid working, including two to three days of homeworking each week and use of the City Council’s offices.
