Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellowship in Movement Disorders/Functional Neurosurgery. This is a full time post based at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN), which is part of University College London Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH).
The NHNN is an internationally renowned hospital for clinical practice and world-class clinical research in neurosciences. It is also closely associated with the Institute of Neurology (ION). Together, the NHNN and ION are regarded as the premier neurosciences centre in the UK. The Unit for Functional Neurosurgery provides a comprehensive elective neurological and neurosurgical service for the UCLH Trust, a large area of North Central and West London and its associated hospitals and the local community/GPs. In addition, there are large numbers of National and International referrals to specialist Neurosurgical services.

This post offers a unique opportunity as the successful candidate will be an integral part of the Functional Neurosurgical Unit. The post is fixed term for 1 year which is suitable for a neurology trainee who wishes to develop their skills and gain experience of movement disorders/functional neurosurgery in a major centre of excellence.

Responsibilities of the post include participation in neurology clinics, performing levodopa challenges and post-operative management of Functional Neurosurgical patients and being an integral member of Functional Neurosurgical multidisciplinary team. There is an expectation that you would have dedicated time for professional supervision and development of trainee/junior doctors within the department, undertake research, publish in peer reviewed journals and present at National &/or international conferences. The post is an ideal stepping-stone for an experienced trainee to gain further experience in neurovascular surgery.

You will work closely with the IT Analyst Team Lead as well as with the other IT analysts within your team and the clinical scientists within Clinical Scientific Computing. You will develop strong and productive working relationships with staff in the clinical teams that you support.

The successful person will be required to:

• Provide second line support of end user technology and first line, when required.

• Setup and provide second line support of medical device connectivity and data storage.

• Provide second line support of servers and file share management, and first line, when required.

• Provide systems administration and second line support for specific clinical applications in BAU.

• Project manage aspects of systems upgrade and implementation projects.

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Asthma Service. This is for a one -year fixed term contract.

The role will involve supporting the asthma service, and helping to develop and deliver pathways which result in excellent patient care and reduced waiting times.

There will be a focus on introducing an app- based tool to support patients with asthma management.

The potholder will support the wider asthma service in a variety of ways including, providing rapid access clinics, case finding, pre assessment telephone clinics, face to face clinics, community link and liaison between primary and secondary care. There will be an education component to the role, primarily for internal staff but also for our local community referrers. There will also be some audit and research opportunities. The potholder will also be responsible for mentoring junior members of the team.

The successful candidate will have at least two years’ experience working with patients who have asthma. This could be in a ward, community or outpatient setting. They must be able to practice autonomously and be self-directed, but also be able to operate efficiently as part of a team. They will demonstrate an eagerness to learn and develop and have a passion for education.

1. Case finding within the trust, and the community via MDT’s and diagnostic hubs
2. Support asthma management, by reviewing patients using asthma app, and using information gathered to triage referrals effectively
3. Pre-clinic assessment; to support one-stop clinics and straight to test opportunities
4. New patient asthma clinic for patients who have been through MDT triage process
5. Deliver patient centered care by acting as a point of contact for patients and GP’s ensuring there is a community link with primary care services.
6. Supporting patient initiated follow up (PIFU): educating patients when to self-manage and when to trigger PIFU.
7. Education and training. To support the education promotion of strategies for the long term and acute management associated with asthma across the community and the trust.
8. Undertake assessment of individuals using a range of different assessment methods, which may include physical examination, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests or advanced health needs assessment.
9. Draw on a diverse range of knowledge in decision-making to determine evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

Domestic assistants support the Trust in delivering a clean and safe environment for patients, service users and staff. We are looking for an enthusiastic domestic to join our facilities team.

You will be required to work as part of a team and be flexible within your working approach, working flexible shift patterns, and cross sites within our building portfolio. Previous experience in an NHS environment would be advantageous, if not training will be provided.

An opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated team of facilities staff within UCLH.

You will be required to carry out general cleaning duties within the wards, departments and buildings across our portfolio, ensuring compliance with national standards, Health & Safety, and control of infection.
Previous cleaning experience would be an advantage although full training will be given. The ability to work on your own and as part of a team is essential.

You will be required to use chemicals and handle cleaning equipment responsibly, and within health and safety guidelines.

You will be responsible for maintaining patient, staff and public safety through appropriate use of warning signage whilst cleaning.

You will need to have a friendly and helpful manner and have a sensitive approach when dealing with patients and their families.

Uniform and PPE will be supplied.

Telesales Executive
Location: Bournemouth
Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 + uncapped commission
Hours: Monday – Friday – 08.00am-16.00pm

Your role involves showcasing our clients’ services to potential customers by reaching out to targeted individuals, as well as leveraging existing contacts within the CRM, to generate leads and sales opportunities for the Account Managers to pursue.

Responsibilities of the Telesales Executive:

• Build strong and lasting relationships with customers through outbound calls, CRM follow-ups, and market research (via LinkedIn, web search, etc.).
• Present products in a way that demonstrates how they best meet client needs.
• Address and resolve customer objections effectively.
• Keep the CRM database up to date with accurate contact details to maximize marketing impact.
• Record and track all customer interactions and conversations in the CRM system.
• Handle incoming sales calls, document client requirements, and forward them to the account manager for follow-up.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to provide feedback and support initiatives.
• Meet individual targets and KPIs.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.

What is needed for the Telesales Executive:

• Proven experience in a sales role, with a track record of meeting and exceeding targets (preferably in B2B).
• Skilled in working to meet deadlines and targets within a collaborative team setting.
• Strong ability to understand client needs and adapt approach accordingly.
• Highly resilient and self-motivated.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Open to feedback as a tool for continuous improvement.
• Confident in using PCs or laptops with proficiency in navigating internal systems.
• Customer-focused with a solid understanding of customer service principles and best practices.
