About the role of Plumber:

• Undertaking planned and responsive plumbing and improvement works

What we are looking for from you:

The postholder will provide public health expertise on substance misuse and alcohol within the Council, partner organisations and the wider health and social care system. Expected to lead on the commissioning, development and implementation of an agreed range of public health programmes relating to substance misuse and alcohol and plan, monitor, evaluate and respond to need ensuring prevention and early intervention is embedded across the local system.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide specialist public health leadership in developing, implementing, and evaluating substance misuse and alcohol public health programmes to improve health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities across the life course.
Lead on development of multi-agency and integrated population, community, family and individual level primary,secondary and tertiary substance misuse and alcohol prevention programmes working across council departments, organisations, partnerships, and communities.
Responsible for the substance misuse and alcohol budget. This includes commissioning/ performance management of the adult substance misuse service, oversight of the Supplementary Substance Misuse Treatment and Recovery Grant (SSMTRG), inpatient detox, rehab placements and Individual Placement and Support (IPS).
Provide specialist public health leadership on areas such as reducing drug related deaths, alcohol licensing, Balance Northeast and attending the Northeast Drug and Alcohol Leads Network and any ad-hoc regional meetings.
Work alongside the Public Health Consultant and the Public Health Lead to deliver service improvements to ensure the local authority achieves its key performance indicators.
Lead on the development, implementation and evaluation of substance misuse and alcohol evidence based public health and health improvement programmes and service plans and translating national policy, latest evidence base, regional and local policies into local action.
Provide public health leadership in relation to substance misuse and alcohol and provide advice and guidance to Council officers and other stakeholders.
Lead the system wide approach to the substance misuse and alcohol across Sunderland, working with internal and external partners.

Qualifications:

A relevant degree level qualification, supplemented by public health, health improvement or public health commissioning improvement knowledge, acquired through training, courses and or experience and continuing professional development.

Knowledge:

Advanced knowledge and understanding of applying public health theory and practice and assessing and describing the needs of a defined population.
Advanced knowledge of health inequalities and social determinants of health.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, national strategies, policies and interventions in relation to Public Health.

Experience:

Experience in directing and coordinating multi-disciplinary and multi-agency groups, taking onboard views of others and responding appropriately and efficiently.
Have experience of planning, managing and monitoring budgets.
Have experience in all aspects of contract management.
Have a proven track record of partnership working with a range of statutory, voluntary and academic agencies to improve health and wellbeing outcomes.
Evidence of implementing public health programmes in a range of settings and making decisions autonomously.

Skills & Abilities:

Effective communication skills to be able to engage with varied audiences using a range of methods in order to share and obtain often complex or sensitive information.
Able to work effectively within a busy team environment, or independently, making effective use of escalation procedures to seek solutions and manage risks where necessary.
Able to organise workload, prioritise competing demands and work to deadlines.
Able to undertake critical appraisal and analyse and interpret both qualitative and quantitative information.

The rate of pay is £12.98 - £15.75 per hour during the probation period, depending on performance
£12.98 per hour after probation period + weekly performance bonus!

Overtime is available and is paid at £18.97 per hour.

This is a full-time role working a fixed afternoon shift and the hours of work are:

- 2pm to 10pm

Your Time at Work

As a Warehouse Operative you will be responsible for handling goods and your day-to-day duties will include:

- Picking produce and selecting stock
- Stacking items into cages
- Delivering items and cages to the loaders
- Using manual handling equipment in a busy environment

Our ideal Warehouse Operative is comfortable working in a busy warehouse environment and can meet targets and deadlines.

You need to be able to speak English at a conversational level so that you can communicate easily and effectively with the team.

Experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential as full training is provided.

Warehouse elements of the role

• Effective execution of the resource plan for the warehouse function detailing reasons for deviations.
• Ensure deliverables for all warehouse area KPIs
• SAP Super user warehouse area.
• Expert in SAP Workflows and SOPs for the area and ensure conformance of warehouse operators.
• Review daily SAP warehouse monitor and ensure all issues/errors are dealt with in a timely manner.
• Participate in layer auditing of warehouse conformance to operation standards and safety
• Operate appropriate packaging/blending/tanker loading equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Carry out associated warehousing duties including the loading and unloading of vehicles
• Control packaging equipment/blending equipment working as an individual or as a member of a team.
• Produce timely and accurate data entry on both computer and in manual, written logs.
• Assist monthly stock checks/count for all warehouses inclusive of all WDWM products, Blending/Production raw materials and packaging.
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping standards at all times using 5S principles.
• Flexible in the use of skills and competencies on their own and other plant operations.
• Carry out minor maintenance, fault diagnosis, and to provide assistance to tradesmen.
• Liaise with tradesmen, QC, Process Technologist, logistics, etc.
• Undertake tasks outside main area of skill and competence under TEST principles.
• Operate FLT counter balance and High Reach Truck within site policies and procedures(inclusive of FLT counter balance and High Reach Truck daily checks and report problems)
• Apply site and local SHE procedures and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Apply safety health and environment rules, procedures and legislation
• Encourage and support compliance with safety health and environment rules procedures and legislation amongst contractors and drivers.
• Apply risk assessments and other safety assessments in advance of routine and non-routine activities.
• Understand departmental SHE issues and any legal requirements relating to the warehouse function
• Operate within the site Permit to work system at all times.
• Use of correct PPE for tasks at all times.
• Apply correct disposal of waste using recycling systems where appropriate.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

We have a great opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a well established House Builder in Southampton. You'll support the team from pre-construction through to final account, with a focus on managing sub-contract packages and contributing to monthly CVRs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the commercial team in procuring and managing sub-contract packages
• Contribute to monthly CVRs
• Involvement in pre-construction tasks

Requirements:

• Experience managing sub-contractors
• Proven track record as an Assistant/Quantity Surveyor in house building
