About you

We are looking for an individual with experience in the development and implementation of finance, fraud, or safeguarding best practices is essential. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and a proven track record of supporting people with their finances are required. A strong background in developing and delivering effective finance training, along with the ability to engage and network with stakeholders to influence service delivery, is crucial.

Creativity and imagination help in seeing new approaches, overcoming obstacles, and achieving ambitious goals. Being well-organized, able to plan and prioritize workloads to meet business needs, and possessing tenacity and resilience to challenge existing ways of doing things are important. The Learning and Development Team is looking for an apprentice to join our team. This is an exciting role within the team and one that will be extremely rewarding for the right candidate.

This is a 17 month Fixed Term Contract. Apprenticeship roles at MKUH are Fixed Term for the duration of the training.
You will be paid the apprentice rate for months 1-12, and then versus your age for months 13 to completion.

This is a fabulous opportunity to undertake a Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship whilst learning many key ‘on the job’ skills. Your role will often be the first point of contact for our staff, so you’ll need the right interpersonal skills and a drive to deliver excellent levels of customer service. You’ll need good written and verbal communication skills, the ability to build and sustain good relationships in and outside the hospital; good attention to detail and computer literacy.

Job Description

• Food Preparation – prepare and cook dishes according to the recipes and standards set by the head/sous chef; ensuring food safety standards are adhered to at all times
• Station Management – oversee the production of all dishes assigned to your station and upkeep your designated area with supplies and ensure cleanliness in line with policies and procedures
• Quality Control – maintain high quality standards for all dishes, ensuring presentation and taste is considered at all times
• Team Collaboration – communicate effectively with all other team members and assist/support all colleagues where necessary

You will be working for an award-winning and widely recognised Tier One contractor who delivers high quality work on road schemes, partnering with National Highways and local authorities. With this project in particular, you will be providing commercial support on an £80 million project which involves work on a dual-carriage road and roundabouts.

Your new role
You will be working on an infrastructure project where you will be heavily involved in subcontractor procurement and management of subcontractor packages. Furthermore, your role will include, but not be limited to producing and agreeing monthly applications in line with the terms of agreement, producing thorough monthly reports and CVR's in accordance with the project or business unit specifications and analysing and assessing extensively the expenditure reports generated by internal cost systems.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will have strong experience in the procurement of subcontractors and subcontractor management on large scale highway projects, NEC3/4 contract experience and previous employment with Tier One contractors. Degree qualifications are desired, but not essential.

Milton Keynes Community Health Services provide a range of health services for both children and adults across Milton Keynes in community and inpatient settings. The post involves working in Milton Keynes Specialist CAMHS, a Tier 3 specialist service, incorporating the Single Point of Access (referrals), Core CAMHS (with a mood and anxiety pathway), and an ADHD pathway. The specialist service works closely with the Liaison & Intensive Support (crisis and home treatment) team, Mental Health Support Team (schools-based support), and the Looked After Children service, as well as other partners in education, social care and the third sector. You will join a Consultant Psychologist in Looked After Children team, Senior Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists, as well as Psychotherapists, and Family, Arts, CBT, Occupational and EMDR therapists in delivering specialist psychological care to, and in partnership with, diverse young people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties and their carers and networks.

The post holder will be responsible for the development and delivery of psychological care; overseeing pathways and waiting lists, innovating where flexibility and creativity are required, and supporting and developing staff our wide multi-disciplinary team in an empowering way.

The post holder will be a member of the Primary Care Plus team. .This post has the responsibility for providing effective day to day mental health care and management to clients with mental health problems presenting in Primary Care. The PCP team provides a single pathway for assessment, referral management and care coordination on behalf of patients with more complex mental health problems presenting in Primary Care. The post holder will offer short term mental health interventions to support this client group within primary care settings and will work at the primary secondary care interface to facilitate movement of clients between primary and secondary care services. PCP provides a dedicated service package to support those newly discharged from secondary care and their GP practice.
