Scrutinise all paperwork relating to I.T. purchasing requests to ensure completion at relevant sections by Sqn OC’s / Budget Manager as required.
To be an EPC holder ensuring correct monthly compliance for all purchases, goods, and services.
To act as the Secretary for nominated Squadron management meetings, producing minutes and Record of Decisions.
To work collaboratively within the Support Squadron team providing cover in other AO roles during leave and planned absences.
Carry out any other task appropriate to the grade, level of training and / or experience.

Additional responsibilities

Assist Support Squadron with all Contract, Purchasing and Finance (CP&F).Training will be provided.
Assist with all Low Value Purchase (LVP) requests. Training will be provided.

A range of clinical skills will be essential for the role including: competency in early pregnancy ultrasound scanning; responsibility for organising a patient caseload; breaking bad news/counselling; prioritise care and management of patient pathway; work with MDT across gynaecology, maternity & fertility; provide a seamless, high quality service. The post holder be responsible for managing the care of women and their partners experiencing pregnancy loss and will therefore be required to have excellent communication and counselling skills. Leadership of the service ,including service improvement and some operational management duties, will be required. You will also be expected to be able to use I.T systems for the management of nurse led clinics. Job Purpose The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust define a nurse practitioner as a qualified nurse where the primary purpose of role is to perform a specific technological procedure/s e.g. endoscopy, ultrasound in a defined patient group and/or advanced patient assessment and clinical decision making in a broad patient group e.g. H@N, pre assessment. To deliver a quality of service matching clinical need to available resources within the focus of specialist nursing practice: To ensure that the patient is the central focus of a streamlined patient journey ensuring optimal quality of care. Working as a nurse practitioner, provide a prompt response to calls from colleagues, prioritising importance and clinical need. Manage own caseload to include assessment, investigation, diagnosis and treatment within defined parameters and training. Provide immediate care management of patient including communication of plan to patients and significant others. Review and refer to appropriate person, e.g. AHP, resident medical staff, specialist registrar or critical care outreach team. Liaising with Patient Services Coordinator where necessary. Communicate within multidisciplinary team, ward/departmental staff and/or out of hours team. Provide specialist education and training to departmental nursing staff, nursing and medical students.
