We are looking for a Chef to join our catering team at HMP Ashfield, an adult male sex offender prison based in the village of Pucklechurch in South Gloucestershire.

This exciting opportunity is well suited to an experienced Chef who is looking for a role with no split shifts and enjoys working as part of a committed team. You will assist the Catering Manager in the delivery of catering services to the establishment and comply with all relevant Health & Safety and Food Safety Regulations, legislation and guidelines. Workload at HMP Portland & HMP The Verne The mental health team holds a caseload and within this caseload, a number of patients would subject to CPA management. All referrals are screened by the mental health team. On occasion, assessments are requested as an emergency from the wings or segregation unit. Whilst there is flexibility in allocation of individual responsibilities, the overarching model is one of integrated working across the mental health multidisciplinary teams. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be providing a medicines management service to patients within the prison with the professional support of a prison service pharmacist. You will administer medicines to patients against a valid prescription, ensuring this is taken correctly, provide advice to patients about the appropriate use of medicines and promote healthy lifestyles to aid their rehabilitation.

You will dispense prescriptions and stock items, whilst supervising assistants when in the dispensary. There will also be elements of stock control involved in your role, such as undertaking stock top-up services and reviewing expiry dates and storage facilities for all medicines, reporting any deficiencies to the prison service pharmacist.
