HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver's required for immediate starts in Magor

Pay rates-

Days: Monday to Friday £17.00 Per Hour PAYE ONLY

Weekends: £20.00 Per Hour PAYE ONLY

Nights out £25 per night out

HGV Class 1 Driver's required immediately for ONGOING work for a client who specialises in Logistic distribution of general haulage across the whole of the UK. Our customer in Caldicot / Magor is one of our largest clients based in the South Wales area and are well known for treating their drivers well from previous and current positive feedback.

The customer is looking for HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver's working days as part of their 24-hour operation running throughout weekdays and weekends. We can offer ad-hoc shifts, weekdays, and weekends.

Our client will be accepting Class 1 Tramper Driver's who fit the criteria listed below:

Duties of a Class 1 Driver-

• Trunking to RDC's and stores
• No handball involved, box trailer deliveries.
• Modern, well looked after trucks.
• A positive mentality
• Must use app on all deliveries

The ideal Class 1 driver will have -

• Have a valid HGV C+E Class 1 Driving License
• 6 Months experience is essential for this role.
• Valid CPC Card
• Valid Digital Card
• Clean Driving License with no more than 6 points (No TT TS MS DR DD codes)

Start times can vary but we are looking for HGV Class 1 tramper Driver's who are flexible to start between 04.00-07.00 working days

Shifts can be long but in keeping with tachograph law up to 10 to 15 hours per shift on average.

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Assist with white goods deliveries, accompanied by a driver's mate.
• Execute two types of deliveries: home deliveries and kerbside deliveries.
• For home deliveries, transport items to the customer's room of choice, including carrying items to homes that may be several stories high.
• For kerbside deliveries, hand off items directly to individuals on building sites.
• Deliver items such as white goods (e.g., dishwashers, washing machines, fridges), kitchen units, and worktops.
• Handle multidrop deliveries, with the number of stops varying daily.
• Use a handheld scanner and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Physical fitness is essential for this role due to the nature of the work.
• Strong communication skills and a positive demeanour are required for direct interaction with customers.

What you need to succeed with our client:

• Cat B licence preferred.
• No more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
• Multidrop delivery experience.

• Planning route on a day to day basis.
• Delivering various loads, using fridges and curtain sided trailers throughout the UK, this will include nights away - night out allowance will be paid.

• Managing your working time and driver hours when away from home to comply with legislation.
• Attending regular training sessions.
