Head of Marketing
Location: Chorley
Salary: £70-100,000, pension, health, 28 days holiday plus stats
Our client is looking for a Head of Marketing to join their senior leadership team.
The role holder will be tasked with the creation, development and implementation of the client's integrated marketing and PR strategy, as well as defining the brand and tactical marketing activities to support the company's high growth ambitions.
The successful candidate will have worked in one of the following sectors:
- Banking
- Commercial Finance
- Private Equity
- Accountancy
- Legal
Knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications required in the role:
- Have demonstrable success in delivering a Marketing Strategy and be a seasoned leader within a marketing department
- Proven track record in branding, positioning and messaging for external B2B communication
- Experience of working cross functionally and partnering with senior stakeholders
- Experience liaising with technical and commercial teams
- Experience of delivering measurable success in lead generation and pipeline management
- Educated to degree level and ideally CIM Level 7 qualified
- Change management experience would be an advantage
Responsibilities and accountabilities in the role:
- Lead all marketing and communications activity, including integrated, demand generation campaigns for prospects and clients
- Develop a strong understanding of who “client” customers are and how to better meet more of their needs through more effective customer segmentation, engagement, cross sell and proposition development strategies
- Establish a strategic vision, aligned with business objectives and successfully manage the implementation and delivery of the marketing plan
- Leverage and brief internal teams and external agencies to define and shape holistic brand and marketing strategies across the portfolio of products and services
- Create content marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement and leads that deliver sales and customer retention
- Develop a competitive digital marketing strategy to ensure the development & growth of brand
- Manage and implement a shared activity calendar to ensure opportunities are maximised across the Group
- Manage the day to day spend and tracking of marketing budgets and measure the ROI of the marketing, brand and PR strategy
- Conduct annual reviews and updates of the vision and strategy in alignment with the overall business strategy
- Train, coach and develop the Marketing team; set goals and development plans conduct performance reviews and provide constructive and candid feedback, especially when confronted with performance shortfalls
