Your role at Superdrug as one of our Festive Sales Advisers will be all about serving customers where you will deliver excellent service and make sure customers don’t miss out on any of our great Star Buys. You’ll help ensure that the store is well stocked, and a high level of store presentation is maintained and will actively be involved in achieving the store targets. To support your development, you’ll also can be trained in ear and nose piercing to support our fast-growing piercing business in store.

Your new role
As Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for working with senior management to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives brand awareness, supports business growth, and enhances customer engagement across multiple markets and channels.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies: Create and execute data-driven marketing plans that align with the company's objectives, focusing on increasing market share, lead generation, and customer retention
• Brand Management: Strengthen the company's brand presence in the industry, ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms (digital, print, and trade shows).
• Content Creation and Management: Oversee the creation of channel specific marketing materials such as brochures, case studies, blog posts, and white papers that highlight the company's products and industry expertise.
• Digital Marketing: Lead the company's digital marketing efforts, including website management, SEO, PPC campaigns, CRM/email marketing, and social media to drive traffic and generate leads.
• Market Knowledge: Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, customer needs, and business opportunities. Understanding and adapting to the needs of the various customers (builders, specialist merchants, retrofits, verified installers, architects, specifiers etc.)
• Trade Shows and Events: Plan and coordinate the company's participation in industry trade shows, conferences, and sponsorship events to showcase our products and capabilities.
• Team Management and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation while ensuring continuous professional growth.
• Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring cost efficiency while achieving maximum impact.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, product development/technical, and customer service teams to align marketing efforts with overall business goals.
• Reporting and Analytics: Measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies based on performance data and key metrics.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial B2B environment.
• Proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing tactics, including SEO, email marketing, and social media.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong collaboration, leadership and team management skills.
