Strong communication skills and a commitment to community safety are essential for this role.  Benefits •    Competitive salary based on experience along with 11.5% superannuation. •    Opportunities for career advancement and professional development. •    Paid time off and holidays. •    Flexible work schedule.  Task & Responsibilities •    Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, including buildings, parking lots, and other facilities, to detect and prevent unauthorized access, vandalism, and other security breaches. •    Manage and control access to secure areas by verifying identification, checking credentials, and authorizing entry for employees, visitors, and contractors. •    Respond quickly and appropriately to alarms, security breaches, and emergencies, including medical incidents, fire alarms, and disturbances, ensuring the safety of all individuals on-site. •    Document and report all incidents, suspicious activities, and security breaches in detailed logs and reports, ensuring that all relevant information is accurately recorded. •    Perform searches of individuals, vehicles, and personal belongings when necessary to prevent the entry of prohibited items into secure areas. •    Assist employees, visitors, and the public by providing directions, answering questions, and offering support during emergencies or other security-related situations. •    Ensure that all security equipment, such as cameras, alarms, and communication devices, are properly maintained, functional, and ready for use. •    Enforce site-specific rules and regulations, including preventing loitering, smoking in prohibited areas, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. •    Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies, providing information and support during investigations, and coordinating responses to serious incidents. •    Manage crowds during events, protests, or other gatherings, ensuring that order is maintained, and that participants and bystanders remain safe. •    Participate in ongoing training to stay current with security protocols, emergency procedures, and the latest security technologies and trends.  Qualification & Experience Qualifications: •    Education: • AQF Certificate I or 2 in Security or compulsory secondary education. •    Experience: Minimum 1 years’ experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is an advantage.  Requirements : •    Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities. •    Observational Skills: Keen attention to detail and the ability to identify potential security threats. •    Physical Fitness: Capable of standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods. •    Technical Skills: Familiarity with security systems and equipment, including surveillance cameras and alarm systems. •    Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact positively with the public and de-escalate situations as needed. •    Flexibility: Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required. •    Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.  About Company Horsham Night Watch Security Pty Ltd, also known as Wimmera Security Service, has been a trusted security provider in Horsham and its surrounding areas for over 30 years.
