The role
As a Information Support Administrator, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary.You'll be resposible for providing Information Management and iAdmin support, up to and including "Secret", to Supported Stations.
Day to day, you'll assist the Air Cyber Security Centre (AirCySC) and Supported Units on the use of applications available on the information system and routine information management activity, as well as:
- You will be the Point of Contact for resolution of Information Manangement (IM) problems on, or in direct support of, operations and training.
- Promote IM best practice: advising all staff on IM policy and protocols, and use of the organisation's information systems; monitor information activities to ensure legal compliance and Air Command/Unit policy.
- Set up and manage SharePoint team sites: creating, maintaining, and deleting sites; establishing and maintaining appropriate access permissions; creation and exploitation and management of new apps to help streamline business processes.
- Be a guide for AirCySC and supported units on the rules for the secure storage and transmission of information, including personal information, as defined by General Data Protection Regulations.
This role is full time, 39 hours per week, and based onsite at RAF Waddington.
Skills and Experience of the Information Support Administrator:
- Good working knowledge of Windows 10
- Proficient in Microsoft Office / Office 365 applications, including Outlook and Excel
- SharePoint experience (desirable)
- Customer Service focused, friendly, helpful, and able to work with people at all levels
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications for the Information Support Administrator:
- Minimum of GCSE Level C in English and Maths
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
