- Incumbent is appointed by the Battalion Commander as the organization's Information Assurance Manager (IAM) servicing the entire Raven Rock Mountain Complex.
- Display initiative and resourcefulness in identifying policy objects supporting a system's security template, developing processes and training to support the desired security posture.
- Issue clear and understandable instructions, both verbal and written, to a myriad of recipients designed to coordinate IA efforts and solve IT security related problems.
- Utilize extensive knowledge of all areas of information security to establish operating standards and procedures for the Installation Information Assurance Programs.
- Prepare, publish, and disseminate local policies and procedures which define objectives, requirements and operational procedures for ISS.
- Administer and monitor command compliance with the Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) program.
- Issue and control access authorizations of all personnel with a demonstrated requirement to access the data processing activity, to include users, contractors, and maintenance personnel.
- Review the status of all information systems and networks to ensure no changes have been made which affect security or negate accreditation.
