Job Description

The Program Financial Analyst supports the Finance Operations team to provide expert financial advice and reporting services. This role supports financial management of program budgets through analysis, risk management and modelling to support objectives and inform effective decision making.

In this role you will have the opportunity to leverage a hybrid working arrangement.

Specific Functions

• Partner with the business to provide sound financial advice to meet organisational goals.
• Monthly variance analysis and financial reporting across programs and overheads,
• Compilation and review of budgets/ forecasts using actual performance, previous budget figures, etc
• Coordinate multiple financial cost analysis functions, including cost allocation, setting up cost control systems, collecting data, controlling costs and preparing reports that maintain the Company’s cost accounting system,
• Liaison to the business for accurate cost allocations and cost rates, compliance with Cost Principles.

What the Agriculture Financial Analyst does  

Financial Modelling & Key Metric Analysis

• Build best practice large-scale agricultural investment models (Excel), including detailed analysis of property acquisitions, divestments, and portfolio performance.
• Develop consolidated portfolio models and treasury/debt drawdown models to monitor asset performance and funding requirements.
• Create analytical tools and Power BI reports using large data sets to support business decisions.
• Prepare and oversee high-quality Investment Memorandums and reports, supported by comprehensive research and analysis.
• Develop an understanding of key profit drivers in agriculture and assist with benchmarking analysis. 

Management of acquisition process and relationships

• Work with Ag Platform CEOs to prioritise resources, review acquisition processes, and ensure governance requirements are met.
• Assist in the development of acquisition reporting in line with investor requirements and recommend key commercial terms for property acquisitions.
• Manage stakeholder and client expectations, and, where required, negotiate outcomes with agents/vendors alongside the CEOs. 

Other

• Manage and guide a high performing team capable of supporting the expansion objectives of the Ag Platforms
• Monitor strategic plan implementation effectiveness
• Develop and expand strong working relationships with internal team members, farm staff, external consultants and industry professionals

• An Analyst will work within the Advisory team providing all the benefits of our expertise in a comprehensive and commercial service designed to guide any project successfully through the complexities of modern construction and engineering procurement, from inception to completion.
• As an Analyst, you will assist in terms of offering specialist advice to clients on procurement strategies, dispute resolution and litigation support.
• Specialist advice of services including intelligent procurement, claims management, case management and expert witness.
• Supporting the overall process including preparation of project documentation and assisting with claims and dispute resolution.
• Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.
