Work as part of a team using a documented process for processing, reconciling and authorising invoices against the data recorded in the dedicated patient system and finance ledger The post holder will undertake reporting and analysis of information to support delivery Demonstrate a keen eye for detail which is essential before reconciling the invoices against patient records Ensure data entry accuracy is of a high standard when processing and checking entries into patient records and finance ledger Provide administration support throughout all enquiries for both internal colleagues and external providers Able to work using own initiative when unsupervised, within defined policies and procedures to set timescales Assist in the administration of the departments documentation, including invoices and financial returns

Directly support the finance team in ensuring that the organisations financial systems and processes are maintained to deliver accurate, robust and timely information which informs decision-making Assist in the production of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis, reviewing reports and reconciliations; working within the constraints of monthly closedown and ensuring the timetable is achieved Assist in the month end reconciliation, including the production and posting of monthly journal adjustments and provision of supporting notes suitable for audit purposes Ensure that invoices have been coded accurately and authorised by the correct person prior to being approved on the system in line with the Scheme of Delegation Managing and liaising with internal staff regarding any Mental Health related queries

We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to join our existing service as an Assistant Finance Officer. It is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy, fast paced team responsible for delivering our payment and billing functions across social care.

Main Responsibilities

The role is principally responsible for processing accurate and timely provider & client/carer payments and client contributions charges.

You will provide operational support to Finance Officers and other colleagues, as well as collaborating with internal stakeholders to continuously improve the business area and provide excellent customer service.

The role provides an opportunity for hybrid working from our office and remote working to suit circumstances and business need.

My client is a well-established leading distribution business. They operate as a SME, although they are part of a global group, and as such they require hands on Finance Manager with experience of working in a small business and undertaking a broad range of tasks. The role reports directly into the Managing Director and there is 1 direct report.

Duties will include, but won’t be exclusive to:
• Production of management accounts
• Production of year end accounts
• Cashflow planning
• Currency planning and revaluations
• Monitoring credit control
• VAT processing (national and international)
• Preparation and control of company budget
• Payroll

Skills and Experience
You will be an experienced Finance Manager who can take accounts up to year end stage, and act as the key contact for the external auditors. You will work closely with the Managing Director, and act as a ‘right hand person’ supporting with all aspects of finance for this business.
