My client is looking to recruit a Service Charge Specialist who can taken ownership of a consolidation project and support with a system implementation over an 18 month contract. This role comes with a competitive salary and a market leading holiday allowance (up to 33 days plus bank holidays!).

What will the Service Charge Specialist role involve:

• Manage and administer the accurate calculation, setting and issue of all service charges.
• Document and review current service charge and rent processes working closely with the project lead to identify efficiencies.
• Apportioning costs correctly to individual customers in accordance with lease and tenancy agreements.
• Review, monitor and control actual spend against budget.
• Reconcile charges back to property records, ensuring that all data sent externally matches internal records.
• Lead on rent setting, ensuring compliance with legislation, regulation, policy and best practice
• Maintaining information relating to sinking fund accounts including posting entries and reconciling bank accounts.
• Monitoring utility costs, recording the usage and complete trend analysis to ensure accurate service charging is maintained.
• Reviewing service charges for blocks where an external management company is in place, ensuring the relevant charges are passed onto residents.

Suitable candidate for the Service Charge Specialist vacancy:

• Experience working within Service Charge is essential due to the nature of this role and need for ownership with an upcoming project.
• Strong excel skills are essential including pivot tables and advance formulars.

Your New Role

You will act as a primary finance contact and support services across the Council to meet their financial management responsibilities. You will be ensuring budget holders are empowered to make decisions, through the provision of training and appropriate access to financial information. Also, as the Finance Business Partner, you will advise on service activity and provide operational context for accounting transactions to aide with the auditing and scrutiny of the Council's finances. What you'll need to succeed

You will be AAT qualified or part-qualified in ACCA or CIMA or possess an equivalent qualification. You must have experience communicating financial information to non-finance teams at all levels and a solid understanding of Local Government accounting rules and regulations. You will be adept at interpreting and evaluating financial data and have excellent written and verbal communication skills for both internal and external customers. Previous experience in coaching and mentoring within a Finance Team is essential, along with advanced Excel skills, including the use of SUMIFs, VLOOKUPs, and Pivot tables. Additionally, you will have excellent ICT skills to investigate financial transactions, solve problems, and identify solutions, as well as experience linking financial and non-financial data and an awareness of data analysis techniques.

CMA Recruitment Group are working with a reputable corporation in Eastleigh, Hampshire, to help them recruit a newly created Finance Assistant with a focus on Bank Reconciliations and Accounts Payable. This role will report into the Team Leader and work amongst a sizeable finance team.

What will the Finance Assistant role involve:

• Perform daily bank reconciliations for allocated accounts ensuring all unreconciled item/ queries are investigated.
• Ensure timely payment of routine monthly payments alongside maintaining associated reconciliations.
• Support the timely and accurate ingestion of supplier invoices, assisting the business with queries to ensure payment to terms.
• Support wider Cash Management team where required.

Suitable candidate for the Finance Assistant vacancy:

• Working knowledge of excel and banking platforms.
