Our client is a well known company trading in steel. coal, energy raw materials, agricultural commodities, etc. They have an immediate requirement for a Trade Finance Executive
The incumbent will be responsible for all trade finance operations, ensuring seamless execution of transactions related to Letters of Credit, export documents, freight loans, trust receipts, and other trade finance activities. This role requires a strong understanding of international trade practices, meticulous attention to details, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Handling Letters of Credit:
Review and process Letters of Credit, ensuring compliance with all relevant terms.
Verify and validate accuracy of documents required for Letters of Credit transactions.
Facilitate any necessary amendments to Letters of Credit in collaboration with banks and relevant stakeholders.
2. Preparation of Export Documents:
Prepare and submit accurate export documents in adherence to Letters of Credit and contract terms.
Ensure all documents are complete, accurate, and submitted within specified timelines.
3. Freight Loan Management:
Administer and manage freight loans, including the processing of relevant documentation and communication with financial institutions.
4. Trust Receipts:
Handle trust receipt transactions, ensuring compliance at all times.
5. Export and Import Letters of Credit Verification:
Verify export and import Letters of Credit to confirm accuracy and adherence to contractual obligations.
6. Negotiation of Shipping Documents:
Liaise with banks for the negotiation of shipping documents.
7. Maintenance of MIS:
Maintain accurate records of Letters of Credit- related transactions.
8. Coordination with Buyers and Suppliers:
Collaborate with buyers and suppliers to ensure smooth processing of Letters of Credit and resolve any related issues.
9. Additional Duties:
Undertake any other trade finance- related tasks and projects assigned by Management.
Requirements:
Candidate must preferably possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the commodities trading industry
In- depth knowledge of international trade regulations, UCP600, and incoterms.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail- oriented with a high degree of accuracy in document processing.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work week : Mon-Fri
Saary : Upto 6K SGD pm (open for discussions)
