Job Summary:
- The Head of Finance / Finance Manager will lead and manage the finance function within the organization. The role is responsible for the overall financial health of the business, providing strategic financial, managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and advising senior management on financial matters.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure that all reports are accurate and completed on time.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the company’s budget. Track and analyze variances between actual performance and forecasts, providing explanations and recommendations for improvement.
- Cash Flow Management: Manage day-to-day cash flow, including monitoring accounts receivable and accounts payable. Prepare cash flow projections and assist with liquidity planning.
- Cost Control & Analysis: Review entire group’s expenditures and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies. Analyze departmental budgets to ensure adherence to financial plans.
- Compliance & Tax: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards (e.g., VAT, GAAP, tax filings). Coordinate with external auditors for year-end audits and tax filings.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support key business decisions, including profitability analysis, investment evaluations, and capital expenditure proposals.
- Internal Controls & Process Improvement: Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard the company’s financial assets. Continuously assess and improve financial processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support business initiatives. Ensure alignment between finance and other functions, such as operations, sales, and HR.
- Compliance : Review/prepare annual tax computation, quarterly GST, audit accounts, AGM, and XBRL.
- Ad Hoc : Other tasks as the need arises.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, relevant professional certification (e.g. ACCA, CPA) preferred.
• 4-6 years of experience in finance or accounting, with a strong understanding of financial statements, analysis, and reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial software (e.g., SAGE 300).
• Knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
