The Cabot Learning Federation is a mature multi-academy trust (MAT) of 35 academies in the South West of England.

We are now seeking to recruit a qualified accountant to join our central finance team as a Finance Manager. This is a great opportunity to be part of a supportive team, with responsibility for providing finance business partnering to a mix of primary and secondary academies.
What we are looking for:
Working closely with the Principal and Senior Leadership Team in a Finance Business Partner capacity, you will be confident in presenting financial information to non-finance staff, working comfortably with complex data, and analysing to support and inform decision making. To be successful in the post, you will have the ability to build excellent working relationships with a variety of both central and academy-based staff. Working as part of the Central Finance Team the role will include a broad range of duties with a clear focus on budget setting, supporting with budget management and the production of management accounts.
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager you will provide professional capacity to the Finance Manager Team and support your academies in a varied and wide-ranging role ensuring effective budget management and reporting. You will provide financial leadership to Principals and the wider academy Senior Leadership team, delivering timely advice and support in the resolution of financial issues. You will have the determination to improve processes, drive change and be prepared to challenge when required to ensure the best outcomes for our pupils.
The post is full time (37 hours per week) although we would be happy to consider applicants who would like to work 30 + hours per week, and / or who would be interested in term time only plus 4 weeks and insets.
Within Finance we operate a hybrid working arrangement, where you would join us in our head office twice a week, with visits to academies as required.
